I imagine there's going to be a lot of that to come out of the next 10 years. In 50 years or so people will be looking at the pages of history. I'm seeing BMW front end from the second photo and some mustang influences. Not an unattractive car but I'd like to see it in the flesh.
Seems to weigh a lot despite all the carbon-fibre chat.
It seems that, in a lot of road cars, the use of carbon-fibre does not appear to lead to massive weight reductions when compared to aluminium / other composites. I wonder whether the carbon-fibre is to give it some credibility but at considerable cost. Presumably an alloy body would be significantly cheaper with not much of an increased mass? I mean the thing weighs 2400kg at the moment

Remember that this thing started its life as the utterly gorgeous (to my eyes, anyway) Volvo Coupe Concept back in 2013?
I'm glad polestar made this, but I'd have been happier still if it had made it to market as a C70 with less fancy tech in it. That way I might have been able to actually buy one. This is - and with 1500 units made, will remain - well out of my price range.
Still, Imagine Volvo build quality, looks like that, that old 2.3 litre turbo 5... A man can dream.

A little bit of time on the colours and trim, and you'd have an absolute gem.
The big problems, literally, are the weight and the cost....a travesty, dressed up as progress.
You sort of get the feeling that they weren't actually sure in the first place what they were trying to do here and therefore aren't really sure what is the point of what they have made. It's effectively a 2 seat overweight GT hybrid that feels slightly underdeveloped ( manually adaptable dampers ? )
