Looks the part, but heavier and cheaper than I was expecting.
Presumably the platform is specced for more upmarket models to come?

Glad to see that it's still pitched at a price point where (a used one) may still br in budget a few years on smile

Fab!

Anyone though that buys an auto in this day and age with the imminent arrival of electric speed restricted cars should officially be known as a big girls blouse!

Well done lotus for the manual!

Looks really good. They've done what they needed to do, IMO. It's a shame that the sub-ton Lotuses are gone forever, but this will sell.

As a Cayman GTS 4.0 owner, I must admit I’m quite liking the look of this…..!

Lotus have never quite hit the rounded package mark for me, let’s keep our fingers crossed this is good un

Ps. Not buying a 4 cylinder having said that, but let’s hope for that v6!

Love it.

I've read elsewhere that the AMG 4 cylinder unit might actually be the higher powered version?

Yup, just that. It’ll be very fast. It’ll probably be a better steer than the cayman (just). It’ll be less well made than the cayman.
It’ll be a great car, they won’t sell very many. I presume that they’ve already worked out how to get electric into the chassis.

But it’s almost twice the mass of an S1 elise. frown

It’s not clear, but I assume a pure two seater?

I'd probably go for the 4 banger if it came with a manual option, but looks like the V6 is the only way to go. Will be interesting to see if they make an 'RS' version of the V6 cloud9

I had a new elise in 1998 and loved that car. I was planning on getting a Mclaren 570s to replace my XKR. Think I might have to take a look at this!
