Agreed! Something about them just seems to suit being filthy.

This one could probably use a wash too.

My filthy van went back to the lease company 3 weeks ago and my new (black) Octavia came

I’ve done 1400 miles in it since then, and do you think it’s dirty? Of course not! Been too warm for road salt I think in wales

Particularly enjoying seeing the Fezza and GT4.

Mine had it's pre winter wash last week so will undoubtedly make an appearance here in a couple of weeks time.

After a trip to Cornwall, and then John O’ Groats and back via Edinburgh, Inverness, Fort William and Glasgow we were suitably dirty. Been waiting for this thread.

I am not very good at this.

I think this is around 2 years since its last wash!! Did it just before visiting family before xmas, but last year was cancelled so it wold have been xmas 2019. Due to WFH it's only done about 5k miles in those 2 years!

On the plus side I appear to have inadvertently invented a self cleaning car (patents being applied for)

I’d be washing the arches with the liners off!

This no washing thing - what do you do about

Bird st
Tree sap
Tar

Do you just leave it on / give the paint a proper test ?

Good coat of wax pre winter

1. Bird st is a lot less frequent in the winter cos many of the fkers fly south
2. Tree sap not so much an issue the bloody things have dumped all their leaves and blocked the drains in the scuttle
3. Tar definitely doesn't stick to dirt and how many times do you see roads melting or getting resurfaced in winter?

Some excellent efforts so far, particular the various Porsche's, Ferrari, and Bills' Disco (which I bet takes ages to wash!)

Mine is indeed in a state after 600 miles on Sunday/Yesterday from Glasgow down south & back. Same again on Friday, and looking like it wont rain inbetween.

Great thread, enjoy it every year.

A bit of Scottish grub courtesy of a weekend trip to Edinburgh.

Apologies for a appalling quality - currently using a temporary phone that's about the same age as the car.

I get mine detailed once a year, and ceramic coated. I’ll give it a jet wash off every so often, maybe 2-3 months, but never had any issues with the paint! Comes up looking amazing in the sunshine

Sold the car last week but still think it looked 100x better dirty

Got it in July, 16,000 miles so far and pretty sure it hasn't been washed yet. Bit lazy but out in the sticks so if I wash it now, it'll be caked in filth in a few days

Nice wiper crescent, love how the clean wiper area really shows up the dirt more, as a comparison. Nice work!
