Colt ralliart thingy.

I didn't know they existed until I had to collect one from the docks.

What about the Red Bull Racing Megane RB8 as well.

27 registered at peak in UK, looks like 22 now, 120 made.

Ford Escort Rs2000 4x4

Depending on your vintage, you may prefer the bonnet bulge Mk5a/b.
Does the Escort GTi also count?
There was only something like 2-3000 or so 4x4s made which makes it pretty rare despite being visually similar to the GTI.

Last I checked there were less than 500 still on the road.
Ooh fair. Just had a check and the GTi's sitting around the 800 mark. Seems like there were 15,000 at their peak.

Now that is a good shout, they had completely passed me by and yet I've been selling Renault from 2002 till current, I remember them now but only because you've posted about them!

Fiat stilo - they where rare, a massive flop for fiat

The abarth version was even rarer, and the stilo Schumacher even rarer again. I had one, apparently only 150 registered in the Uk, only 40 left on the road today

See also the punto abarth, and it’s special editions, completely killed off by the fiesta ST.

Come to think of it, how many mk2 skoda fabia VRS do you see, or the cupra Ibiza and the cupra boc edition of it.

Focus ST500, fiesta ST200 are a couple of others, how about the Suzuki ignis sport? Can’t be many of those left!

How've we gotten this far with no mention of the bonkers Clio V6 with the engine in the middle?

I don’t want to sound churlish. I must be of.a certain age/sad but I remember all of the cars posted so far, They were fairly well known/common in their day (if you read lots of car magazines anyway)…

Having said that, how about the Lancia Y10 Turbo?

Does the Toyota Will VS count?
Based on the Corolla, I remember some guy having one where I lived but I never knew what it was due to the lack of recognisable badges.

Well known, but how about the Peugeot 306 Rallye, UK only model poverty spec Gti-6. I've owned two.

Based on my current car, a Mk1 Yaris T Sport, itself reasonably uncommon, the Japanese Market got a turbocharged version badged as the Toyota Vitz RS, taking power from 105bhp to 150bhp. In a 900kg car, it makes for decent pace.

You could also pay Toyota to fit the TTE supercharger kit. That was a super rare option only taken up by a handful of U.K. owners.

How about the Beetle RSI? Limited to 250 units worldwide.

The MK5 Golf GTi Pirelli.220 sold in RHD form and has the most powerful engine of the Mk5 Gti`s. The mods were, different seats with the tyre tread moulded into the seats, different "Pirelli" wheels, different steering wheel and wheels, oh and of course Pirelli tyres,

My parents had one of those (number 68) from new for about 14 years, I absolutely loved it.
