Now we have the reality of these old Cayennes littering the bottom of the lower price tab option of Autotrader - I think these would look very sorry for themselves. Imagine the usual tired, scruffy Cayenne but with a hungry horse hood (like an old 911 cab) and sun scorched/ faded interior.

Lovely.

Thank god it never got past this phase but imagine being the poor bugger asked to even try designing this!

That concept is truly hideous but, as a previous poster said, i bet they'd sell loads. Even with the back end unchanged...
Porsche Cayenne Picasso.

Assuming Citroen don't mind.

To be fair, it looks less bad than I expected a Cayenne cabrio to look, though my expectations were extremely low.
I agree biggrin

If one were to channel the inevitably excessively deep bodysides, it might look a bit like a latter-day Renault R17 - the one with the big canvas roof option.

A case of bright idea, wrong platform...

The Porsche Design Sport Techno is one of my favourite wheel designs - Even they struggle to look good on this

I didn't think it possible: a car design that makes the SsangYong Rodius look elegant.

What were the designers thinking?

It's a Renault Wind!! I don't dislike it, on the premise that it is no more visually offensive than the car it is based on.

So do I. I think it's better looking than the car it's based on. Which isn't saying much.

I think people on here have just forgotten how ugly the original was.

No idea why you'd want one but JLR have been flogging convertible off roaders for years

Whoever is working at BMW is doing a great job making record profits for that company so the Porsche guys weren't needed.
