I don’t normally think about things like this but what happens in the event of an accident with carbon regarding energy absorbtion?

Does it just get transmitted straight to the people inside? Nothing is going to fold or crumple

You’d have to have more money than sense.

To those saying "i'd rather spend the money on X". Nobody is browsing autotrader with a budget of £340k and wondering what car to buy.

I wonder if Porsche will have anything to say about Replacing the Porsche badge with Kamm. Another famous restomodder got dinged for this. I think they're within their rights to defend their IP and image.
I’m guessing that persons with this sort of money wouldn’t look on Autotrader anyway so can’t quite see your point?
They most likely have a keen idea on what their budget is and the make / type of bolide they wish to own, or have somebody looking for a suitable car for them.
It doesn’t take much effort to find such suitable vehicles without resorting to AT, which is why I said I’d rather have the worlds very best 930 or 964 RS…

It's a single upturned milk crate (in carbon) for the driver.

I’m sure, as always, there will be people that proclaim this to be (one of) the most wonderful things ever.
Despite being a huge Porsche fan I’m unable to see the sense in this, either by its price or the carbon fibre work which for me takes away all originality.
I’m also sure I’ll get flamed for my comment above, but for me I’d rather spend the money on the very best 930 or 964 RS (which no doubt will open the argument about ‘but for the same money you could buy…’)

Please, dear God, paint it! Exposed carbon fibre is really dated I think, and makes it look like Darth Vader's jock strap (probably).

Painted, lightweight, it'll be a good thing... However, if I had the money, Rennsport seem to do the retro thing rather nicely, without the full Singer going on.

In carbonfibre, a 60s design looks weirdly anachronistic, which suggests at first glance it’s a cheapo wrap. Gloss paint, please.
Why do the rear wheels have positive camber?

they weight is very good, so you don't need mega power to have fun, the price is what it is.

maybe they can make some in colored carbon, makes it a bit more special?

like those examples is what I mean, carbon with see through paint-ish like blue or green carbon the whole body, naked colored carbon, you have to increase the pictures to see it I guess, anyhow just examples if you like to show the carbon.

Here is the problem with lightweight 911s. You think it will be used but the closer to an ST you get the less you drive it. Its like a custom bobber motorbike.

No heater, no a/c so you are limited to certain weather conditions of plus 10 to sub 20 degrees, no rain. Its no longer a 2 seater as no one wants to sit in a noisy box for any great length of time. The weight balance gets effected so it doesn't drive like a 912 or 911 so you lose front grip.
Even with £20-40,000 of engine work its not fast so you need very specific roads to enjoy it. Unlike a modern Porsche you can't sit in traffic or use a motorway. Most track days its not going to be fun unless there are other classic cars and unlike the bloke in a shady E46 you can't be the last of the late brakers as its very expensive should you over cook it.

To my eyes this does not even look like a render. More like a Revell toy model in matt black.
My ones used to have the same tire / suspension setup. Which is perfectly calibrated to velours carpet roads.

Weightwise it will be a fraction ligther than a Lotus Elise S1 ( but this can be lightened too). Power output will be in Lotus favour. Driving performance will be in Lotus favour. And the lotus is prettier.

You missed the price being in the Lotus' favour also, could have 15 Elise' and an Emira for the price of this.

No doubt, there will be a line of lemmings waiting to sign up and part with 400,000 euros. Like paying £10 for a tub of Lurpak.

If you're lucky enough to have the means to spend this much money on a restomodded 70's Porsche (and genuinely, more power to you!), I simply cannot see how you would pass up one with a 6 cylinder, to plump for this instead.

That’s a rendering right? There must be like zero wheel travel (especially at the front) if that’s an actual car picture…
? - It's not even that low.
It is if you drive on back roads. Fine for a track of course, and fine for cruising around a town centre on a Friday night.
