New 24 registrations spotted
Discussion
I haven't seen any, not even a picture of one.
Then again, I don't see the appeal of the latest reg. It changes so often that whatever the current number is, will be "old" within a few months anyway. It still feels as if 23 plates are brand new, but nope, 73 has succeeded them and now 24 takes the baton... blink and it'll be 74 plates before you know it.
I'm much more interested in good, dateless plates than the current bog standard format.

one for me, brand new mini heading in the direction of a rather large mini dealership.
Probably one of the staff given a new car to commute in to get the new plate seen on the road, it looked well.
Wont be long until everyone gets the bug and the 2024 plates are everywhere - wonder how many will be EV though , will be interesting.

I love a good plate as well - but still get that buzz when I see the new plates for whatever reason. Then again, I don't see the appeal of the latest reg. Reminds me of walking to school back in the day and seeing the new cars drive by.......

Not seen a single one yet, but then I don't drive far these days.
Ever since it went to twice a year in 1999, it's not been quite the big deal it used to be, IMHO.
2001. September, when 51 was issued. 1999 V prefix from August 1st.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

The R-prefix was the last one covering 12-months.
My first one was a 24 plate Hyundai i10 on March 1st itself which was a nice surprise as I was driving the cat home from the vets. Interestingly though was today where I saw two of the new Transits for the first time on 24 plates and a Scania lorry with a trailer on the back. There's been a few between them, but these stood out.
Its interesting that given theres a recession on I've seen far more 24s compared to 73s over the same period.

The 02, 03, 04 etc were released in March, 52, 53, 54 were the September launches.
And in the vein of the thread, spotted my first '24' plate yesterday, a silver SEAT Arona FR. Not really looking out for the new plates tbh!
