This will undoubtedly appeal to some (each to their own etc), but I see no redeeming features here. Pretty vulgar actually, all the more so given a historic Bentley oozed class and yet this simply oozes ……… I’ll let you fill in the blanks. smile
It is big and vulgar, but then hasnt every Bentley been like that relative to whats around in period, thats kind of the point ?

They never oozed class, they oozed money, and mineral oil of course.

Am sure people mutter the C word under their breath as a Bentayga flies past, but back in 1984 they probably did when some Richard De Vere Type went past in a Turbo R.

Richard DeVere - classic! Always liked his Corniche - I’m sure considered vulgar and new money at the time but matured with age.

Why do people with so much money, spend it on such ugly things?

The Bentayga design is really starting to look dated (and not in a nice 'vintage' kind of way). They need to do a full facelift/redesign asap.

For all the negative comments, have you actually driven one?
My boss has one, I get to drive it occasionally and when you floor it, it is in equal measure both laugh out loud fast and somewhat scary. How something that weighs the same as a small moon can accelerate so fast still makes me giggle.
Would I have one given the funds? No way but glad they exist.

Apex edition, I love it!!

Would have been better if Bentley went the extra mile and secured twenty BO55 private number plates to avoid the DVLA paperwork for the first owners.

I bet that does actually make a noticeable difference to the ride and handling, unsprung weight reductions being worth so much more.

So utterly pointless in reality though. I do know a few Bentley engineers and I wonder what they think when they're tasked with a job like that.

I think you are safe . Folk that go on shoots tend to use range rovers ;-)

Then you should be safe around me as I'm not a pheasant plucker. However I am a pheasant plucker's son.

I find this whole "limited edition" / "end of line" / etc etc a painful marketing exercise by the Premium/Luxury OEM's designed to extract the maximum money from people whilst "conning" them that they are getting something special/unique

It feels like the sort of thing that volume OEM's used to do with "special edition" versions of Escorts/Sierra/Golfs/etc etc etc where they took an LX and added a few extras and a new paint colour and called it a Surf or Turf or something

Didn't like it much then and it's even worse now with Premium OEM's who really ought to know better but are desperate for sales/profit margin it seems
I agree. At least now we know there must be a new model coming. Never quite liked the looks although over time it grew a bit on me

Apparently when you turn the ignition is says "you are an apex predator and this is your rig". 🙄
Just tax them out of existence and force car companies to get on building better vehicles rather than this bloated excess.

As if taxation decisions on this tiny island have any impact whatsoever on whether a Bentayga gets made or not. Regardless- Bentley is hardly going to start making city cars are they?

Such ugly things are made very expensive so the very rich can be seen to be very rich. Same with watches, the more expensive the more ugly so they stand out more and the owner can be identified as having spent a lot of money on something less useful than a $4 etsy quartz watch. Works with fashion too, women's hand bags and shoes - the most expensive are often the most hideous, like a 1st year art project.

There are exceptions, but I think this is how it is supposed to work, based on my observations.

Nice. If I get a visit from "agent millionaire" tomorrow, I'd definitely get one on order, simply to p**s off everyone who thinks they know better than the people who can afford to buy one..

I've been lucky to have been driven in one of these a few times, albeit the 'standard' W12 model.

Utterly amazing, refined, near silent at times, extremely relaxing and feels like a leather lined bank vault inside. If you could afford one, you would buy it.

It’s a tarted-up Q7, and it looks like something the Mitsuoka design studio would have put in the shredder to avoid being laughed at.

And what vehicle is better than this to daily haul a family around, get dogs in, tow a decent amount, and rack up some decent millage in the most comfortable way possible?
