Viewing in the phone and I genuinely thought it was a variant of the MG Cyberstar

Think it's due to through belt line, large headlights, and dark front badge.

Nice to see a surprise, but not for me

What are they smoking at Mercedes? It's no killer all filler for them at the moment.

Must be for those who couldn't get to the dealer on time for a Ferrari SP2 Monza.

it looks good in some picture's/angles, but why no windscreen, yes they did that long time ago when 160/180km/h was scary fast in such open no window car.

but with such modern car, nope, I can not see the use, its a boulevard thing and probably lands in collectors garage and on a sunny day it maybe comes out.

its sad a bit.

I like the concept but Ferrari set the bar very high with the Monza and Mercedes haven't so much not made the bar but tripped over and cracked their head open on the run up. What a mess.

i thought it was an MX5
I did too. Not sure if it's the lights or the colour scheme in the first image but I thought it looked exactly like an MX5 facelift.

I thought the Mythos was a Ferrari concept car based on the Testarossa and that the Sultan of Brunei had three in his collection?

What in the name of the Judean People's Front is that thing?? Bloody awful - and I like the current/new SL/GT design!

As others have already mentioned, I immediately thought it was a Cyberster derivative, cross-bred with an MX5....... either way, this is a massive penalty shot in to Row Z for AMG-Mercedes in my opinion.

I'm sure it will be an absolute scream to drive, and that none of them will ever turn a wheel in anger.

It looks good and if it's intended for the track, the lack of windscreen is OK. But you'd look a bit of a d*** stuck in traffic on the way to the track with your helmet on.
Can you wear a ff helmet on the road?
Of course you can. I do. As do drivers of other windscreen-less track focused cars that are occasionally driven on the road.

Just doesn't look like a Mercedes from any of the front elevations. It's completely ignored Merc's design language.

Agree on the MX5 thoughts, but with Honda S2000 vibes too.

At least the rear follows the design language.

It's an odd thing for sure.

Looks terrible for a number of reasons.

Not even worthy of being mentioned in the same room as the SLR Stirling Moss.

Can you imagine having to explain to Anastasia that she had to put a helmet and goggles on before you drove to Cafe de Paris?
