It depends what you find fun really, a solid point and squirt car or something more visceral.
More visceral? It's not trying to be an atom as far as I'm aware. Just because a car is well balanced and has lots of grip doesn't mean it's not fun to drive last time I checked.Nevermind, as you say it all depends on what people find fun and I'm clearly in the minority here.
How does it behave at the limit ?
Does it suffer the understeer and nose heavy balance of other performance Audi's ?
Can you get it to oversteer ? I have seen a Drivers Republic video where they concluded the old RS was possible to powerslide an Audi with the latest diffs and controllers

It looks like an Audi

Blimey! Who would have thought that? An Audi that looks like.... hang on.... wait for it..... an Audi! ....
"Family resemblance" is seen to be a good thing.

Fantasic read, I really liked the part where it mentioned about the engine, performance, 0-60 and top speed data, MPG, Price....
Oh no...
That's right, nothing like that was written in the 'car' review... Good job.

Been there, done that
the "gay" spoiler is optional.
i think its an awesome car, looks great, wheels could do with a change but apart from that looks great, fast and does the RS badge justice.
I think PH seems to have given a fairly poor review there though, cleverly managing to miss out the tech info that usually is included in a review.
good car. poor review.

I doubt I'll ever understand the statements like in that article, I like the fact my car feels solid. I would also hazard a guess that car would be a lot of fun. I guess that's just because I'm an Audi driving cock though.
Would be interesting to see a 335i coupe vs TT RS test.
I think a fairer test would be against a Z4M no?Would be interesting to see a 335i coupe vs TT RS test.
Although I haven't been in the TT RS, the other TT's I have been in do feel very bland as does every Audi I've been in. I haven't had the pleasure of a new RS4 or an R8 but I'm sure they're exhilarating.
I always thought Merc was for people who liked a soft riding car for long distances, BMW for thos who like handling and driving and Audi for those who love VW but want something a bit posher? Now everyone wants to be like BMW :-)
Don't think Clarkson is right with the Audi drivers comments, VW Passat estate drivers are easily the worst on the roads and then Audi estate drivers. Maybe it's just something about estate cars all together?

Joe average doesn't want something that's involving to drive. Look at the success of the Mazda MX5 and the Honda Shoebox, sorry, Civic Type R.
The MX5 has the looks, and is one of the dullest drives around. The Type R is an extremely capable hot hatch, but it isn't exciting. It just goes where ever you point it with no drama. Fast yes, but not a drivers car.
Produce a car that rewards good driving, and you will also produce a car that punishes bad driving and that's a car that the great unwashed will not buy in their droves.
With an RS badge on this, the review is fair. An RS should deliver more. Perhaps if Audi took the RS badge off, and put a Grand Tourer badge on, people might view this car differently.

But it's not, the latest TT isn't just a tarted up golf from every single article I've read... even going back to 2006.http://www.newswheel.com/newswheel/stories/new-aud... for example!

Lazy, me-too assessment of the car.
You know what? I thought exactly the same thing. Not a very interesting read I'm afraid PH!Do you want PH to make up an opinion just because what they really think is too similar to others?
Next week on PH - the Ferrari 458 Italia. It makes a great noise, you can't get much luggage in it and it's quicker than an F40 around Fiorano. Easy.

I think a fairer test would be against a Z4M no?Good point but there isn't a current M, so I guess it'd have to be the new Z4 with the 35i engine which to be fair I'd rather have over the TT by a long way.
