Wonder where it will be positioned......the Smiley that is...not the moustache ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
We have provisionally (I repeat provisionally) managed to get the PH smiley on the sides of the rear wing.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
However Beechdean Mansell have the right to change this to another position on the car at any time, but we're keeping our fingers firmly crossed.

it was an amazing day with the team really keen for us to understand their challenges and see progress. Really hope they get more backing so that next year is even more competitive. Wish them the best this year, fingers crossed for a good race!

Great news on the Mansell-PH collaboration. Missing the 24hrs but at the Classic, will be guilty of some BMRC loving ^^
'Special' group order possible on this 'Mansell Smilley'?

Yawn, total non event, if they perform as well as they have done so far this season they will not bother the lap scorers very much and your exposure will be minimal. Why don't you find something worthwhile to support instead of sucking up to this self serving nonentity?

You are entitled to your opinion of course, but we are too when deciding who to back. We are very keen to support this team, and the PH audience seems to be too. To be honest, we aren't in it for the exposure (although we love the fact that we can play spot the smiley on the Mansell car while at Le Mans) we are in it to fly the flag with the British team, lead by one of the biggest names in motorsport. When you see the car, you will note that it does not say 'PistonHeads.com' on it, instead we chose to just use the smiley. It's not about attracting new users, it's about our current readers being able to get behind the team.
Nige was an absolute legend to us yesterday, as were his sons, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. If they finish we'll be ecstatic, if they manage 20 laps we'll be equally happy. Good luck to them from all at PH.

At least they are still running, which is more than can be said for A1GP and Super Aguri....Edited by torchy6 on Friday 28th May 16:47

Thanks PH, EXCELLENT DAY!!!! Really was an incredible prize and a true honour to meet the team (not just the drivers but everyone including the nice ladies that took care of us).
Don't think I'll ever forget Greg Mansell asking if I wanted to go "fast or sideways" in the M6. Sorry Chris, I said "definitely sideways"... cheques in the post for the P-Zeros!
As for the big man himself, I don't know how anything negative can be said about him. Such a nice guy and it must be excellent to race with his sons. Behind them 100% and hope they do really well at Le Mans. If I get a pass from wifee, will be at the Silverstone race to cheer them on in person.
Actually was quite suprised how friendly the people were at the track. We walked past a different team's garage and the guy invited us in to take pictures of the Ferraris and got talking to another Le Mans team... not sure if it was because we had ice cream though! Andrew spent LOADS of time talking to us, and again, top guy. But honestly, meeting the people at the track makes me really want to start racing and am now looking for a cheap form of motorsport.
Was really good to meet the fellow PHers too, great bunch of guys and fellow petrol addicts. Hopefully see you all at Le Mans next year.
Ok, so it sounds like a rant from a cheerleader but had such a good day...

So the Mansells run with a PH smiley on their car, bloody copy cat behaviour if you ask me. I had a smiley on my Midget at Castle Combe last month. I reckon they`re just trying to keep up with the front running Smiley team.
Bet they dont have to pay £3.50 for theirs though.
Good luck Nige and Team Smiley England for LeMansell 2010, go stuff `em

Why on earth do people come on just to be negative? You don't like him? Fine, its your opinion, but to snipe at a man who was a world champion and a hero to many, from the safety of your keyboard, make you seem a pretty small minded individual. Turned you down for a job in the past or nicked your sweets at school did he? Deal with it and grow up.
