Budget is a max of £1800. Mmm. Nice. I really like the look of the Bora.

I was tempted by this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

but I never got a response in time from the seller about whether there were any advisories at the last MOT. Plus I was worried that maybe the dodgy battery could be masking another (bigger?) problem.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to put a new battery on and then the car can be descibed a free from any running/mechnical problems.

and am now being tempted by this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

but 266K miles but with FSH every 30k miles. But is 30K too long an interval for new oil?

I'm a cynic at heart.

VAG longlife servicing is every 19k miles (approx), or two years... He suggests the car was done 'every 30k miles or so'. Mmm.

Nice spec, but I still wouldn't.
