Take no notice of them!! Bet they dont realise how comfy that drivers seat is??? I had an R reg 2.0 RXE and I loved it!!!!! would go as far as saying one of the most comfy cars ive ever driven and owned!!!! And it was a dull non metalic dark blue....
yes they are really comfy. They actualy handle quite well to.
The folks had one and I agree they are comfy. However I almost urinated myself in derision when I read you think they handle well!

Many years ago a sales rep where I worked was given a Mk2 Golf GTI 16v as a reward for an exceptional year - within a couple of weeks he was begging for his Laguna back precisely because of the comfort. The good thing was that the Golf became a pool car which was then thrashed mercilessly by all and sundry, myself included.

The Mark 1 RXE i owned ate 2 gearboxes in less than 20K miles, leaked into the rear passenger footwell and the ABS packed up whenever driven in the rain.

On the plus side though, it did have a talking computer (to tell me everytime the ABS failed)!

I chose it over a Mondeo of the same vintage (purely due to the talking computer and climate control)....one of my motoring regrets.

Was comfy though

By any chance do you constantly go on about how great/comfy/cheap/reliable etc your Laguna is? Have met a few people over the years who have the most nondescript slow oldish cars yet will witter on about how fantastic they are and are the first to pipe up when the subject of cars comes up. Obviously this leads to everyone taking the piss.
