I have seen a Subaru Impreza get one flash from a scamera from a standing start. I imagine this is because he ran out of markings before the second flash would have gone out.
They flash twice regardless if the vehicle is still within the markings!

You must have blinked and missed the second one.......or woken up!

F1 cars are st at standing starts. They are not optimised for them.
Partly true for their design spec and power to weight, but they'd still make mincemeat of a road car. 0-100mph in about 3 seconds I think in an F1 car, and I've seen claims of older ones with fat slicks going considerably quicker than that. Even a Formula Renault, with only 200bhp can do 0-100mph in 4.9 seconds.

I know that from a rolling start at about 5 mph the BMW 320d that overtook me in Sunningdale last week managed to get a flash by nailing it just before the speed camera lines started, no idea about a second flash though. But i really hope so.

Why? What's it got to do with you, and was he driving dangerously?
