In fairness, I don't think there's much value in trying to compare an H2 or H3 with an H1, they are significantly different.
yes

As nice and cool as the H2 and 3 are. They are very different vehicles IMO to a H1.

Specialist Cars of Malton had an H1 for sale when it was the last Big Breakfast meet last year and i think Mark drove it abit so it might be worth sending markmullen an email, he's a really knowledgeable guy.
Thanks chap!

Yes, we've sold one and are just preparing another for sale (painting it black etc).

I collected the last one from Knightsbridge and drove it back to Malton, it was great fun. Driving through the West End on a Sunday afternoon in thick traffic was a little taxing as they are a big old thing and visibility isn't the best but I managed, once you get them rolling they don't actually feel as big and heavy as they are. Fuel is a little excessive, one of the tanks was full when I left London and I put another £179 worth in on the way home.

I was bringing it back on the first weekend of the big snows, the A1 was down to one lane and I was one of the only people out there that was confident of getting home. The one I was in had a pair of 15" HID (xenon) spotlights on the front bar and a remote control floodlight on the roof, perfect for bad visibility!

I have plenty of experiance with the H1. And from someone that is quite used to driving big American vehicles then, the every day use on UK roads can be a bit tedious. Not to do with the size of it.But the width.

Coupled with the fact its a military vehicle and quite spartan and crude inside. After a couple of hours you really have had enough.Last time i used one,it was a pleasure to get back in the H2 for the comfort.Granted they are built like brick st houses and unbreakable. But not something i could live with on a day to day basis.

yikes

Just come back from the States and they are moaning about $3.99 a gallon whilst we must be on $10 a gallon.

Hideous.

Ad says it's an H3 but it's a 2.

Why take a vehicle designed for off-road and stick 30" wheels on it?

The H1 is ok in military colours, in the military.

The H2 & H3 are the most tacky things ever made. Absolutely disgusting.

With appropriate tyres. Not silly low profiles.
