Advice needed - main dealer pulling a fast one

If it is a filter not clipped in etc, it will clear cut, but if it's something else, the chances are it is just bad luck.
Unfortunately it does usually mean you'll have to get it checked over first to find out the cause, and that means back to the dealer.
Depending on the problem, it could be something disturbed, or not plugged in, but without knowing what to check yourself, you'll be stuck having to trust the garage.
A quick update.
We got the car back after 12 days.
High resistance on two glow plugs. Four were replaced.
Fault still there.
Traced to possible soot in the turbo.
Garage offered to put the two good glow plugs back in and charge us for two (parts only)
We settled for leaving all new glow plugs in but paid for two (parts only).
£55 down and the inconvenience of not having a family car for 12days - probably saved the £55 on fuel
