RE: SOTW: Ford Probe
Discussion
heap of st new, bigger heap of st now, having had the misfortune to work with ford in 2000 when there was still a few probe's on the road the amount of known common faults on them was unreal, think there was about 10 common faults that ford was still paying goodwill on circa 2000, okay those cars were 1 owner with full dealer histories. wouldnt trust one to use in a banger demolition derby
Agree that the name is ludicrous, and the car itself may be ste, but don't quite agree with the claims that it looks rubbish.
I think it's actually not a bad looking car.
Certainly I prefer the look of this to some cars that to me look like dodgy kits and cost 50x more than this
Each to their own of course...

I actually quite liked the look of these back in the day but then I heard the name and it instantly became laughable. Still don't get why they didn't just call it the Capri over here. Yes it was brought over from the US where it'd become established but still, beggars belief in my opinion. People still bought them of course despite the iffy title.
Thing is though, for under a grand you could get this... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2935533.htm , which I'm still not completely convinced by in the styling department from certain views, but may well be a sounder bet than getting Probe'd
