Well, it looks like Carl Hartley and another white man are the prime suspects for the crash, as well as possibly drink driving, and legging it from the crime scene.
I wonder if those who have been accusing, openly or otherwise, young Muslim men of Asian origin of having been the guilty drivers without a shred of evidence, will ever get round to apologising for their error and making false accusations. The insinuations even conveniently ignored the fact that currently it's Ramadan, despite an excellent pun, when most, if not all, Muslims would avoid having a wedding due to fasting during the day.
I won't be holding my breath.

Leaving the scene then returning could be an alcohol thing, waiting till he's sure he'll blow clear. Pure speculation mind, who knows what really happened.

The shred of evidence that led me to think it was another wedding hire gone wrong was based upon the report in the paper saying both cars had been hired for a wedding, not a false accusation but a realistic assessment based on what's reported.

Err, I suggest you read those reports again; neither of them mention anything about a wedding or either of the cars being hired. The drink driving comment is based on an even better assessment of the situation and available facts than those used to make the Asian Muslim accusations.
