Is (or maybe was) owned by Paul Stewart, son of Jackie

IINM, George Harrison also had a Mclaren F1, although I can't find any pics of it.

Rumour has it that his son, Dhani, inherited it and still has it?

Imagine what that's worth......

  • *I have actually seen that silver McLaren F1 in action back in 2013! The photo of the garage inside is a vineyard in Stellenbosch South Africa! Beautiful motors in there I remember there being Mustangs, F40, F50, XJ220, Porsche Carerra GT and of course the silver McLaren F1. Lucky enough on the day they were taking out the McLaren F1, the F40 and the Porsche Carrera GT it was a beautiful sight! here’s me with the F50 garage! (Notice the same windows) Will share the pic of the McLaren below too and other goodies stored there.

I have seen that McLaren in action! It’s in Stellenbosch South Africa - went there in 2013. Some absolute weapons stored there - XJ220, F40, F50, Ford GT40, Porsche Carrera GT, Mustangs. Luckily enough they took the F40, Carrera Gt and McLaren F1 out at the same time for a spin! It was a glorious sight. Here’s a pic of me (ahem 2013) with the F50 stored where the McLaren is too [url]

Does anyone know if there has ever been a famous owner of a Lotus Europa (the early one)? Plenty of people had Elans, Bond drove an Esprit, but I don't recall ever seeing a celeb in a Europa.

I remember reading an article in the early nineties about Bryan Adams and his custom Special Vehicles Land Rover called VOD100, which was short for Vehicle Of Doom, 100" wheelbase. It was a "greatest hits" (no pun intended) of Defender, Discovery and Range Rover parts.

There was also a mahoosive stereo, that was apparently at the insistence of his friend at Land Rover as he wasn't that fussed.
VOD100 was built for Brian by Paul Clark at Dunsfold in late 1992 and early 1993. i built the engine for it, which was a mildly tweaked 2.5 TDI

Feels like a life time ago now!
Great personal story and pics, thanks for sharing. Some amazing stuff on this thread.

That is the link for Liam talking about his cars, his name was Master H in that thread.
Slightly OT, but that was on Flemke's Mclaren thread. Here, in 2006, they are talking about values of F1's.

I meant with regard to the market price. How much did the last Mclaren go for - would anyone be able to tell me a rough figure?
well they seem to be rising while others are dropping .im not sure if you would see a good car for less than 900 now.
Really? The value has increased that much? Are we talking GBP £ here btw?
Oh to have a time machine.....hehe

Not a celebrity as such, but the late Ted Girdler (ex-Red Arrows QFI) had an E-type V12 in his Dundee days, replaced with an XJS when he moved south to Manston.

I think the majority of those programmes are story boarded in an attempt to make the programmes more interesting, to get an 'angle' or viewable and to pad out the scheduled TV slot and total series times.

Regarding Jay Kay of Jamiroquai I didn't know he was into Quattros. Top man. Cosmic Girl is one of my favourite videos due to the car noises. And pretty skies:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-NvQ6VJYtE

Wasn't the lilac Lamborghini written off by a mate of his and the subsequent wreck was on display above the entrance of a scrapyard?
In an interview Jay Kay says that the first was indeed written off (not sure if it was a friend though) and when the replacement was delivered for the video shoot, some scrote smashed the windscreen before he arrived. That's why when you see the shots of him driving fast in the car his hair is blowing, because there's no windscreen.

His identity and the fact he's the drummer for the Foo Fighters was established in the post immediately below the one you quoted.

He's also not very recognisable either.
