Subaru Traviq, a rebadged Vauxhall Zafira.

The Volkswagen City Golf, a Canadian only model based on the MK4 and made from 2007-2010, and is a mishmash of MK4 and MK5 parts.
Does anyone know why a company like VW would put time abs money into developing a hybrid of two of their golf generations? Surely they could have marketed a golf mk5 with higher suspension and spend so much less money?

At a guess, Tooling investment.. much cheaper to blow new plastic bits and tack them onto an existing body(line)... than redo the entire build line for another model.

See also the Brazilian VW Gol and Kombi (type2 front, split..ish body)
Alfa also did some crazy thing in Brazil also

The Saab 9-7X, based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer and can be had with a 6.0 LS2 Corvette engine.
Straightaway you see SAAB in that outline?
I am struggling to see that, must be my age.

It doesn't look like a Saab at all, it looks very American GM SUV. Seeing Saab is some odd placebo - everything that can be seen in that photo comes from American GM divisions and not Saab at all

Also known as a Dune, but that's not as funny as a Cross Golf https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/vw-giv...

There is also a cross Touran and a cross Caddy (which I have never seen) and a cross up! which was even sold in RHD in Japan but not in the UK for some reason.
