Tasteless could be something ugly, but ugly isn't itself tasteless. I'm trying to think of a good looking car that's tasteless though? I think tasteless and vulgar often go hand in hand.
Ugly but tasteful…

I very nearly mentioned that, I wondered if anyone else would. God I'd love one
Simply lovely and I’m prepared to die on that particular bridge.

BMW styling is so bad at the moment. There's a iX driving nearby and it really is far worse in the flesh than on photos.
I can't look at that abomination without thinking of this, I wonder if it's where they got the styling cues from? Even down to the little chrome things on the door handles.

(Runs to get some eyewash.)

It's tasteless as it's a slovenly styled lump of SUV that's good at nothing other than extracting lots of money from a punter via a finance agreement.
Because no-one is putting north of £70k down to buy one of these things with their own money up front.

It doesn't look good from any angle, - big grill, bulky styling, fails in looking to be in any way 'sporty', usual Audi dull interior , i could go on. In pure functional terms it does not do the main job of being a conveyance at all well. It's the epitome of why SUV's are awful and to me, yes it's tasteless because it was clearly commissioned by a marketing department in Ingolstadt and not a car designer with taste or style.
Ok, so not tasteless. Like I said. Cool.

There are hundreds of tasteless, crass and vulgar cars that are lovely to look at; in fact one would describe much of America's post war output in such terms. The following are utterly gross, but also compelling:

You get the idea...

I would argue those are not gross in anyway, and in fact possess a situational elegance representative of the rapidly changing culture that spawned them.

Why do I see this and think of Home Bargains?
Not ugly. Very tasteless.

The definitive answer here is the Lamborghini Urus.

The looks, the colours, the customers. All lacking taste. It has Motorhub Keighley written all over it and Kahn developed a body kit before it was even released. It is the most meta car for footballer living in Cheshire the Range Rover Sport would blush.

Remember, and this is true; this is the car that Lamborghini benchmarked against the appeal of the BMW X6 M as what they wanted their customers to aspire from, which says it all really.

It’s easy to pick some others, the Cayenne, the Range Rover, but this takes the tasteless biscuit.

Another; not ugly, actually epic. But massively tasteless.

With that paintjob it is both tasteless and ugly.

Just as chromed supercars and some wraps are.

Considering taste..

Are there any supercars that are actually tasteful and beautiful as such were in times gone past.

Obsession of aerodynamics lead to a painfully complex mess. (trying too hard).

I'm not tough & macho enough to drive a car like that. I don't own a pit bull or have tattoos, for example.

I like it.

Looks very feminine as in "go getting girl about town" Nissan Juke or Mini alternative.

Toyota have also given the fatass to the Yaris. I can understand the Yaris FR being so bulbous, but they've kept the body for the whole range.

To summerise.

Any german SUV
Any SUV with a list price of over £50k
Any super/hyper car

Does this pretty much cover it?

I think it is wonderful. Aren't we getting the aesthetics of what we do and don't personally like mixed up with tasteless? For me, a modified Cullinan is tasteless; christ, the standard one is tasteless!
