I think what Mike is trying to say is that motoring journalists should be held to higher critical standards than many others and that had Nervous initially explained his position in a more reasoned manner (as he is now doing), nobody would have taken exception.

I think, at least. I could be wrong.
wow, you got all that from that^^^? youre good.

I dont see how I've explained myself any better in the last 8 billion posts though, all Ive done is maintain that I still dont like a car that I wished I did. Had a cut and paste some review from one of my mags were I made all kinds of spurious claims that the engine was made from gays etc I would expect this kind of outrage, but not for simply stating something was not to my taste on an internet forum.

Apology ?
Your having a laugh right ?

Too sad you cant see my way , I am a profesional myself and would be sacked for expressing any of my personal views in such disregarding way

But I guess your views towards some cars are the main reasin why you work for a unknown car website and not something worth a bit more

I thought it was. You say what you think, I say what I think, someone agrees with one of us etc etc etc.

Maybe you should just write every post as a full magazine article just to be safe in future.
really? that's going to take ages. bum.

is it really a worse car than a diesel Metro?
Without hijacking too much, I once did several hundred miles in a diesel metro and it was quite impressive. getmecoat

Slightly disingenuous. Never mind.

If you had said, I dunno, that the steering was too slow, the ride too harsh, the engine note uninspiring, the seats uncomfortable or any number of reasonable criticisms then who could really have objected? Instead we got a bizarre diatribe of how it was the sh*ttest car you'd ever driven and that they fall over in Belgium.

Honestly. Have a word with yourself. From one journalist to another.

sttiest car I have ever driven was a gold metallic 3 door escort estate, an auto at that.
Imagine a 350Z being the worst car you've ever driven, what a lucky fella.

I'm torn between the Citroen C3 Pluriel and the SsangYong Korando.

But why are Nissan 350Zs so cheap?

Some of his reviews are a tad funny IMO.

Funny haha rather than funny weird that is.

If I was to base my car buying decisions on the words of a lone reviewer (nice hair a bonus...) that would make me a larger plonker than you have came across as in this thread...

Fortunately I'm far too much of a german marque snob to buy any ricer. Even one as, like, totally frickin awesome as a 350z isn't. IMO
I'll give you half an hour to go on talking like this, but after that Im afraid you'll have to tone it down to three or four compliments an hour, ok?
You've spoilt it now by using capitalisation. I thought you were better than that...

Or it could show just how bad the 350z is?

Over here in CA I've found 350Z's advertised for $11000-$13,000 US and that was for 2004/5 year models. RX 8's are anywhere from $8500 - $18,000 nearly new. Also been to a couple of police auctions...my god some of the stuff they sell is complete ste (look up "donk") but there are gems to be found if I had a spare 20k to buy cheap boats !

There's a crazy demand for "ecnoboxes" here, everyone is terrified of fuel going above $6/gallon and it may sound cheap to the UK. Bear in mind that a lot of Americans are on Min. Wage of $7/hr - taxes, etc. They got used to having a heavily subsidized standard of living relative to the rest of the world and now its taking effect.

I've noticed they arent THAT quick though considering the power, but they do weigh almost as much as a Challenger II.
what, the tank? ironically, I used to teach people how to drive Chiefans for a living- and thinking about it now- the handling and noise, vibration and harshness of that was considerably better resolved than in the 350z.

comfier too. and had a smaller ass.
Nervous has an opinion that some agree with but seems to differ from the vast majority of respected motoring journalists. OK, fine, its an opinion. However, comments like above seem to be a good indication of the credibility of that opinion. Anyone else on here driven a Chieftain tank and a 350Z and would care to compare NVH/handling?

The opinion is fine. The sensationalist, Clarkson-esqe way it has been put across is why its been ridiculed.

BTW the seemingly valid question of what sort of company the 350Z keeps down at the bottom of the worst cars you've ever driven list seems to have been side-stepped. I for one am intrigued.

An interesting read... i've enjoyed some of the banter too.. but where the credibility of Mr Nervous falls short IMO, is saying the 350z is the worst handling car he's ever driven. He's either not driven many crappy cars, or he's enjoying yanking some chains! Maybe the 350z has been the most disappointing to drive?
