None of the cars on this thread are hardly Mcdonalds esque... The Polo, I like too - what's wrong with changing the aesthetics if you like them?
I'm sure some would argue how pointless sticking a V6 in an MR2 when you could have bought something more capable for the outlay.
Oh, and people who say stuff like 'Piston heads is changing for the worse' etc is quite annoying. Generations change, as do interests, if you don't like it, there's no need to log in. What is exactly wrong with the 'Euro scene' anyway? Knowing a few people who are into it they certainly are not Chavs. They have meets/shows etc like any other petrol heads would. You don't have to love 'TVR racecars' to be into cars.
And as for that absolute twunt that said a Mine's Skyline is a bit of Chav tat. Look up the specs, and what they are made for. It is a serious machine built for time attacks over in Japan, costing in excess of over 100k. If you see one in Maccies carpark, I'll come to your house and kiss your feet.

The Mines R34 in that clip is fast, but it's not magic - fairly standard engine with 2530s, 4.11 diffs.
There's a much better video of it at Tsukuba vs an F40, a JGTC 993 RSR, a JGTC NSX, an F3000 single seater and another road car that I've forgotten. I can't find the vid at the moment but the R34 does shine compared to the others (bar the F3000 which waltzes off and leaves everything else for dead). The R34's pace was between the 993 & NSX.stew-S160 said:

IT'S VERY NICE.
I do wonder how some of these things 'drive' but they do look awesome!
i like the 'modified classic' 'retro cars' sort of thing. bit anti if something is too rare but in general i like it.
i think we need a picture of that guy's 'bone coloured' metro 1.3 HLS with turbo motor and banded steelies. mega!

I really wish that I had gone around and bought up all the 240Z Datsuns when they were worthless in the classifieds 15 years ago. I could retire by now. They are simply lovely cars, and arguably better proportioned and prettier than the Italian models that they took inspirational styling cues (sp? snooker rather than waiting in line?) from.

They are nice arn't they. This makes it even weirder that people put those 250 GTO body kits on them. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
