Looks like the Battersea Dogs home for dying barges. 8 series and XC90.
Plus a W140 Merc and an E38?? under the arch. The Touring is in use. The others have been there in various states of decay for the last decade.
I think I posted these a couple of years back, North Circular near Ealing, right? I've been commuting that journey for 11 years and they've been there for as long as that. Little short of unnecessary waste.Plus a W140 Merc and an E38?? under the arch. The Touring is in use. The others have been there in various states of decay for the last decade.

Exactly - just up from the BP station towards Ealing. The Merc has some nice looking AMG monobloc wheels - if they are genuine, they're worth more than all the dead barges put together!Dapster said:
Regular users of the North Circular near Wembley may have seen these sad old barges
Insignia hasn't moved for more than 18 months
Opposite Ikea, this thing was in daily use for at least a decade before being parked up for around 3 or 4 years
I see that every week on the way to stay at Wembley. It's so dirty now! Insignia hasn't moved for more than 18 months

The Land Rover and the 405 haven't moved for a long time...
Earliest pic on Google is March 2009, but they were there at least a couple of years before that...
The Transit and Disco never seemed to move much either until about 18 months ago, not sure if they were used very sparingly and parked in the same way or just not used at all.

I noticed these yesterday, more captured for the intrigue of the collection rather than this thread. Not looking particularly abandoned, but the Micra on the right has been off the road for about 18 months. Note the 3rd blue Micra very much out of action near the house.
I took a look on Streetview to see if I could workout more of a timeline and there's a 4th Micra at the gates; albeit in a different blue.
Is that Southampton ish area?I took a look on Streetview to see if I could workout more of a timeline and there's a 4th Micra at the gates; albeit in a different blue.
Both Mini's out of MOT, 996 looks well at one with nature. Behind an under the arches MOT place - probably the result of a monumental bork?
Matt blue 900, late model W123 and a pre facelift R107 SL under the tarp (the Saab's MOT expired a year and a half ago, the Merc's a runner)

I used to walk past a Honda dealer when these were new and remember really wanting one of them for the cool roof mechanics Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
