And I'm pretty sure I could shoot and grade slog3 from an A7s MkII to look identical to that on youtube
Quite, that example video has been through all sorts of colour grading and post processing to look like that.A decent DSLR and lens combo is going to give you 95% of that result at 5% of the price.
Spend money on the powerhouse PC you're going to need for colour grading and editing to achieve results like that in any reasonable timescale.

I think Harry's Garage is much more stable for the long term because he's curating an audience of genuine car enthusiasts rather than a more fickle demographic.
I went to the Harry's Garage meet he organised last week. I was one of the youngest drivers there and the proportion of tasty metal was easily as high as at any Pistonheads meet I have been to. Very impressive stuff I have to say. Well deserved though... and it was a great morning out.If any of the other Youtubers organised one it would likely be full of people carriers with bored parents sat in and a bunch of spotty kids trying to make their own vlog of the vloggers.

I just heard Tyler Hoovers Ferrari has gone up in smoke. He only had it about 6 months I think? Sounds like an oil fire of some kind, its a total write off.
Happened when it was in the care of Vehicle Virgins it seems although Parker himself was in Japan I think. Speaking of which I see Parker has gotten himself a lovely yellow 458 SA.An Tiomanai said:

...The car (or more correctly what's left of it) has been purchased by Tavarish.
Is that an actual thing, or just a skit for the video?https://www.iaai.com/Vehicle?itemID=29041741&R...

I think it's just a joke. It's showing on this website and marked up as not ready for sale -

Nice find - eyes were rolled when Tavarish's purchase was implied (though I'm sure it was mentioned elsewhere).https://www.iaai.com/Vehicle?itemID=29041741&R...

Savage situation for Tyler!
I know hindsight and all that but...
If you had smelled fuel, stopped the car and on inspection found the power steering fluid cap leaking badly on top of the engine and not been able to trace the fuel leak/ where the smell was coming from. Then call the garage and over the phone (without assessment) be advised that it should be okay to limp it slow to the garage.
Would you:
A - drive to the garage
B - ask for one of them to come take a look before driving
C - put on a trailer, take to garage
I don't think I would want to drive it if it smelled that badly of fuel!
Granted its along way from a Ferrari but my only experience of being in a similar situation was in my old Peugeot 306. It once started stinking of fuel on a drive, parked up pretty sharpish, jumped out and checked it over, ended up calling the AA out as wasn't confident on what was really going on with it. Car was fine in the end but I didn't want to take the risk

Not necessarily by him though , although I’d love it if he has.
He said in his comments that hes bought it through Hoovie, so I dont think that auction linked before will even run now.I’d love to see a video of where he told his Mrs he’s just bought another fire damaged Italian.

Tavarish has bought it, no joke. He confirmed it on his instagram feed. Someone questioned him with "are you buying it" and Tavarish replied with "correction, it's been bought"
It should be an interesting project and good for views, but the damage looks a lot more extensive than his Lamborghini. I suppose it depends what the insurance company offered it to Hoovie for, but when you look at the price of parts, things quickly add up.
