We loved our L322 Range Rover. It was perfect while it lasted but let go in a spectacular way (not the car's fault though - the main dealer cocked up the service so the car lost all of its oil...).
It was in the UK so a TDv8 made much more sense for us - 300 miles on a full tank was much more practical too...
I'd love another one. Not sure what the bork factor on a 10 year old 100k mile one is though...

Wow. That's the first sensibly priced one I've seen for years. I like the style of it. And the steering wheel is a great wheel but I agree that it might not suit the car. I could live with it though.rejn said:

But, but, but, but you said 300 miles to a full tank with a TdV8??? How bad is this in real world terms? I can just about eke 400 out of a 4.8iS which will absolutely destroy the RR in terms of performance, even if it makes me look like the struggling local purveyor of dodgy pills and powders... The X5 tank is 92 litres. It was in the UK so a TDv8 made much more sense for us - 300 miles on a full tank was much more practical too...

Google tells me 100l tank in the v8 petrol which will cost me 42quid to fill with super unleaded. Deffo couldn't stomach filling one From a uk pump once a week or more.
Consensus from some friends who've run them here has been positive. I'm factoring in having to do full bushes and fluid change and going to take a look tomorrow lunchtime. Seller is a lady who lunches and is replacing it with a rolls phantom coupe so maintenance signs are good.

Used to sell those Fiat Coupes new, cracking fun particularly in Turbo form. The last of the line 20v Turbo LE's were a brilliant car especially in Moon Grey imo. I was selling Alfa GTV's new at the same time and although didn't have the grunt of the 20vT but were a sweeter handling package in 2.0TS form. 3.0 V6 GTV was a proper baby Ferrari though
Greetings threadists - hope all was serene for the hols and you acquired requisite R&R / quality time / party time / car related shush. Radio silence due to usual combination of planet earth spinning too fast for the last couple of months - fun!
Rocket - supersweet Cayster! Does that mean I can have JLO? With interest free credit I should be paid up by around halfway to never

Cheers Braddo, let me know your next track day, may try and tag along
Ferris I hear ya. Reality is after too many hours researching, if you want a relatively modern analogue 'sports car' that will do a bit of everything, has a proper drivetrain in the £20-25k bracket and one that hopefully won't ruin your finances the choices are limited, not to say I don't like them because I do, so if you can't beat em join em I say !

Indeed. This has been lamented on the thread for many moons now. The list is short and diminishing. Sad times.Ferris I hear ya.
