Did you put the correct miles in the V5 form and submit it in he end ?
The HPi check leaves a marker that the vehicle was once on 101,000 miles. The paperwork was sent to Auction before the car was, so I didn't get much of a chance. However it's most likely our Admin team did that anyway.

Went with my father in law a couple of days ago to change his current car (bought new) which is a 2015 Golf manual for a new 2016 Golf auto as due to his age he is finding the clutch hard work

He is 83 years old

The salesman was astounded when he saw 55k on the clock

My FIL replied " well I don't really go anywhere"
What on earth is an 83 year old doing that requires 150 miles a day!

We have just sold a BMW 320d (2005) with 220,000 on the clock and a full BMW service history.

We have a fella that visits our showroom every 2 days or so. He's a retired chap in his 80's. He visits showrooms 7 days a week to drink free coffee and look at cars. He has a 63 plate KIA Rio that he's had from nearly new, and he's put 50,000 on it in 2 years. All he does is drive around all day at a snails pace and drink free coffee. What a boring retirement plan..

Really?
If he's that interested in cars, I'd have thought that he'd have a better car!

Sounds like an incredibly lonely existence to me frown

We'd all like a better car.

Honestly, I was just messing. I don't mind football that much.

Never mind. As long as he's happy.

He's an ex car salesman himself, I think he just misses it all.. He's also widowed I believe. But still, he does it everyday, without fail. He does waste a lot of people's time though. Pretending to buy cars, and then pulling out after signing for it. (He's done it to us twice before he bought his Rio)

He hardly gets out and about compared to earthdwellers FIL, thats only 55 miles a day. Doesn't sound like the most entertaining retirement either.

You'd have thought the owner would have had the forethought to give it a good haircut before its first MOT!

Interesting choice for doing 30k miles a year in, looks to have worn them well though!

I agree. Definitely something I'd consider if I had a shorter commute. Wonder what they're like at that kind of mileage?

Drove a few with this kind of miles when I worked in Saudi a few years back, they hold their 'use' very well.

Most half decent modern cars are fine at 90k miles unless they've been abused or parked in the sea every night. It definitely wouldn't put me off.

My T-plate Land Rover Discovery TD5 at 500k, sold for a whopping £300. God, she was a dog at the end.

Impressive. But would you pay £2.5k for any car with half a million miles? Even a Land Cruiser? Not sure I could bring myself to.
