So an mps can make over 320bhp with just a £250 remap and changing the intake and nothing else?

I'd say yes, extra power, an even revvier engine and a torsen diff.

If it's the EP3 version, I'd say be careful, in that the suspension is probably overly stiff for our B roads.

Other than that the drivetrain has a number of differences to the EU version, which make it an interesting proposition.

In reply to all the comments I have put my Fabia VRS up for sale on here and have looked at a few Civic Type R's. So far I have found (all of these are strictly my opinion btw):


Cosmic Grey is the best colour
They are surprisingly pokey under VTECH
Air Con is important
Not a huge amount of difference between standard seats and the recaros
I am undecided if the extra £'s for a premier is justified from what I have seen
Models seem mechanically sound from the examples I have tried (03 with 91k, 05 with 83k and 06 with 55k)

Just a matter of selling my car and then scouring the market for the one I want, but from what i have seen and experienced a CTR is definately the car I will be getting!
