Thanks. smile

With my 370 being the Roadster it puts it at a very similar weight to the M4, and both are around the 1600kg mark.

I've always really liked your combo as well. thumbup I love the way your TTS looks for sure. cool
Thanks very much. I just looked it up, the E85 is 1285 kg. Quite a difference.

The TTS is a Black Edition, which aren't all black but lose the shiny bits. I didn't think I'd like the red interior but am taken with it now.

Yes and that is a big difference. The E85 is lovely and light in comparison for definite.

I do like your red interior, and it is a very nice contrast to the black exterior I reckon. My Z4M was the same combo too. thumbup

My two have changed completely since this thread started. Back then it was a Cayenne and a Corvette, now my temporary daily is either an old focus or an MGTF and the weekend fun is provided by a ferrari 360.

All change again shortly though as the 360 is up for sale and I'm hoping to add an infiniti fx as the daily to replace the focus.

These are my two. The turbo for longer hauls and the Boxster for sunny days and b-roads. I’m not sure if it’s cheating but I still have my beaten up Octavia for tip runs and family haulage. But these two completely cover my petrolhead needs.

As nice as both cars undoubtedly are, aren't they much too similar?

I've kind of accidentally ended up with the British triple...

Jag XF S 3.0D
1994 Defender 90
TVR Chimaera 450

Quite pleased with the combination

British triple here too -

- 2005 Range Rover L322 4.2V8 Supercharged
- 1995 Marcos LM400

And the third is Mrs D.R.'s company car - 2017 Jaguar XE.

I’m not sure I could think of two more different ways to power a “small” petrol-fueled car. Very nice combo

Both v8 supercharged, but very different animals.
The Corvette (650 hp) ,a bit of a wild child. The Jaguar (400hp) ,a fast smooth cruiser.

I’m surprisingly happy with my current combo. I think they’re quite far apart in terms of characteristics:

Practical, Fully Electric, Silent, Smooth, Comfortable, All the modern gizmos…

None of the above things…

Not at all. The turbo is an absolute rocket but I very rarely get chance to use all the power. It feels heavy too at times but it makes a spectacular GT car when long distances are a factor. The Boxster is simply great fun. The steering is precise and the throttle response is epic. The turbo has hardly any lag but I still missed the response of an NA car before I bought the Boxster. I used to own one before switching to a 911 and I missed it loads. The 911 turbo often gets criticised for being boring. I wouldn’t go that far but it can lack that grin factor sometimes. Having the two gives me a perfect choice - old school sports car or crazy missile.

Best of both worlds. Both 6 pot twin turbos, but do things in very different ways.

Macan is a “get in, drive, get to destination as fresh as you started”
C4S is “strap in, hold on, drive it like you stole it, smile!”

Our previous two car garages have been a Renault traffic/M5, then disco sport/M5, but with the last 18 months being pretty horrible, you can’t take it with you so a full garage update happened.

I like your thinking.

I’d be very interested to hear how these two compare and, most importantly, which is more fun.
