Well, I was born in 1999 - my favoruite from '99 has to be the Ferrari 360. There are a few other mentionable ones though, such as the original Zonda and the facelifted Lamborghini Diablo.

Sacrilege!!!! The original (and best) GT-R or Hakosuka is one of the best looking cars ever! (IMO anyway :P) Judge for yourself:

I agree - that is stunning. I love the purity of the three-box styling. A very brutal look.

1969...went for the stunning Dino 246 GT
I think I win with this car
I'm 1969 also, and before I saw your post I thought 246 GT, but then thought too obvious, so I plumped for this because it was half decent and affordable (and still is)...

PS. The Skyline GT-R was born in 1969 too, but the first gen was an ugly fecker.

Capri and Datsun Fairlady launched but never been a fan of the canal barge unbalanched long bonnet look.
So 914 for me, great "Elise/MGF" forerunner packaging, using a common or garden motor and practical boots front and rear.
The bloke who styled the S1 Elise had a Dino at the time. Influenced! and why not.
Bugger forgot one of my favourite cars: 1969

The Miura is like something from the car Gods. Never a better shaped car IMO. Love it.

I hate my life

Chin up, 1980 wasn't so bad, especially if you like hot hatches/luxury barges. I was pretty depressed after reading the Wikipedia page but it doesn't take into account new versions of existing models or facelifts. Not sure how it missed the mk3 Escort (including the XR3) though!

or even the Bentley Mulsanne in fact (although you'll have to wait until 1982 for the Turbo)!

or in fact the first Lotus Esprit Turbo

Given a few years leeway, you have:

1979

W126 Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Series 3 Jaguar XJ

1981

E28 5-Series or Fiesta XR2

1982

Facelifted Fiat Strada 105TC

1983

Fiat Strada 130TC Abarth, Vauxhall Astra GTE or MG Maestro!

Thank you. A man of impeccable taste and (kinda!) discretion! It was a very successful race car too wink

And would you believe I saw a grey (dirty blue?) one this morning, in Switzerland, driving past. I had no time to take a photo of it. It had that big external sun visor too. Lovely.

Love that 'MadMax' V8 above....
