A fully restored RR classic from 1990 for just over two grand, with the prospect of a lovely cross-continental jaunt to pick it up?

I quite want that. Anyone speak German well enough to help sort out a deal? Surely £6000 worth all day back in blighty

Change the wheels back, park it in a mews in South Ken for the photos and it would be £10k!

I lived in Germany for a couple of years, but too rusty now. Contact them, most Germans speak English very well!

Have we had this yet? Lovely looking E500. Interesting to see a pan roof on a saloon, not personally seen one before.

Saw this car on Auto Trader’s Android App. Thought you might be interested. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
Really like these. An old colleague had one 5 or 6 years ago, he always drove to meetings, very comfortable as a passenger in this. And fast as f***!

Lovely. I watched this at the weekend, very 1980s - just listen to the dramatic music!

I'm part of the "W124 is overrated and not especially good looking" mindset, but for £800 that would have been a very nice car.

If I had seen it in time I would have done 'Buy It Now'

No problem with the German, but I'd only help myself in getting that! What a great thing.

I'm not surprised it's gone before I got to the advert.

A friend has had from new an E320 CDI saloon with a panoramic roof. We drove to Spa and then Paris in it not long ago - the panoramic roof gives it a nice feel inside.

Anyone with XJS experience have a ball-park idea of what replacing the wings & sills would cost?

I don't often find things to add to this thread, but a bit of browsing tonight found 2 cars at different ends of the budget, both of which appeal:

Very nice Audi at the top end:

That seems a very good deal - new shape, decent spec etc. Must be rarer than a rare thing - has a not-diesel engine.

I think I might soon be finding out. Mine's very presentable on basically all the bits you can see, but pretty crinkly underneath.

A tough choice between this thread and the barge one for this car. I think on balance the appeal is the retroness of it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Opel-Senator-/1...

Only 51k miles. Lovely.
