Thompsons Brick Seal will waterproof the bricks but as has been said you'd better sorting out the cause of the dampness and curing that.

I really Love that. I wish I had that much room but not to be.

A mate said whatever size suits your budget then go a bit wider and longer or you'll always regret

If the annex above has a lounge, separate kitchen dinner and 3 bedrooms, then you have my perfect house!

I have some damp coming through my garage - manifesting with white salt coming through the bricks..

Whats the best wall paint for garages to keep damp at bay?...
You need to look on t'other side of the wall and see where the damp is coming from. You may find, as my parents did, that some clever soul had heaped soil up and over their damp course to make a scenic flowerbed.

Recently taken on a small unit to tinker on my cars in, only got a small budget so ive been using freecycle and ebay to kit the place out, next on my list is a big compressor or code reader, cant decide which yet.

How much does that cost ? That sort of thing would be ideal for me, rather than keep dreaming of moving to a house with a large garage - which round here could be £400k+

So, I'm searching in Google for something about an article with me in it, and I come across this 'HSV and Monaro' forum, a weird red colour, with this exact same 'best garage on Pist0nheads' thread in it?

Somebody tell me, did I slip into some parallel world, or is this thread cross linked to another forum?

http://www.hsv.org.uk/topic.asp?p=63&f=&t=...

I shall post this here then go over there and see if it appears. biggrin

ETA: yes, the parallel world does exist, but I can't post over there, just look at my name and posts I made here. confused

At the bottom of the forum page it says "hsv.org.uk is part of the PistonHeads network". Still interesting though.

It's just a reskinned PH forum for them, like http://www.porkers.co.uk/ for the Porshists. Originally for other enthusiasts websites but still hanging around.

Hmm Best cars Maybe but not best Garage ( Not saying it is not good in any way at all smile ) But i have seen nicer ones on here IMHO I like garage that are just that tools ramps toys. If it is too clean its just one more room in the house in my view smile

Andy74b - I belive his was the 'official' Best Garage on PH. I think generally more for the breathtaking content than anything else - 2 x F40, Zonda, Mac F1 etc.
