He is indicating, and in plenty of time, and his approach was pretty slow. He doesn't deal with it well, but I think that was reasonable driving. Typical mini roundabout where they squashed it into a junction that you can't realistically drive around it without touching the painted circle.
If he can't drive around that he needs to think about fitting a steering wheel, straight across the centre of the roundabout isn't touching the paint. Had he driven around then, both cars would have been able to negotiate it, in accordance with the highway code and the law.
Are you just being contrarian for the fun of it? The cam car arrives first, clearly signalling, the Passat should give way.

Perfectly valid point about the markings of the island, but that wouldn't change it either way.

Yes, a metre or so ahead, perhaps. The other car made a mistake. The DCW then speared towards him to compound it, as opposed to steering a(n uninterrupted) course around the markings and behind the car. Still, he got to stop and shout and feel simply marvellous about it smile

One might argue that were he a different character of individual, he'd have got his pleasure from driving better.

Totally agree that the guy in the cam car is a prize plum. Classic DCW escalation.

Why? There is no requirement for them to give way to cars coming from ahead. There is however a requirement to keep to the left of the circle. Had the dash cam driver obeyed the law, then there would not have been any issue. Of course the Passat did stop and avoided the accident but the cause of the problem was the poor driving of the Subaru.

Like the one at 1.42 when he drives "Over" a mini roundabout and moans at the other guy biggrin we only have to assume he was indicating.

You can hear it on the audio, and see it in the sign when he stops to be a tosspot to the Passat driver

How lucky that no-one was injured. Surely a medical episode for the trucker or some very sudden serious mechanical failure?

I was expecting it to plough into the petrol station with results like the end of the chase in Bullitt. Disappointing.

..well not really. Remarkable no one hurt.

It was awful but that sliproad design is almost as awful - the two lane slips I drive on regularly all have separate zones for each lane to join the carriageway, the left lane continuing on while the right lane traffic gets a chance to join first. With this one the dashed centre line stops and then there's immediately not enough room for two vehicles side by side, meaning if the right lane vehicles can't join straight away then they're fked.
Most of the slip roads from Oxford to the M4 and back, are awful and a lot of them dangerous.

Modern world we live in I guess where while watching that video this..."Social media users reported losing internet and phone access after the crash" comes on the video before telling us 'no one was injured' rolleyes

Shame it didn't hit the Amazon locker. Would have been the money shot if all the lockers parcels had fallen out biggrin

But yes, very lucky to not have killed anyone, and must be sickness you would think.

I saw some where it said the driver choked on something and passed out.

Looks like he took out the power as well, look at the price display for the petrol station & the forecourt lighting. Guessing the Amazon locker has a battery backup.

Look a the "pear tree lane" sign at this timestamp: https://youtu.be/cg_fExmSrT0?t=102 - it's (faintly) flashing amber. More obvious is the rear-facing camera that's in the top left of the video; look at the wall from the same timestamp. When the camera car lifts off the brakes the flashing is quite clear.
You can then hear the indicator cancel at 1:49 (click) and then get reapplied (presumably indicating left) at 1:50.

Ah! I see the reflection of the indicator now, tks.

Probably something with "Ginster's" on the packaging.

It's a fair comment, however at the moment the Passat is about to enter the roundabout, the camera car is most definitely to his right and therefore he should give way.

As with most clips, first party makes a mistake/does something stupid, second party doesn't take the opportunity to avoid/minimise the incident.
