Are you just being contrarian for the fun of it? The cam car arrives first, clearly signalling, the Passat should give way.
Perfectly valid point about the markings of the island, but that wouldn't change it either way.
Why? There is no requirement for them to give way to cars coming from ahead. There is however a requirement to keep to the left of the circle. Had the dash cam driver obeyed the law, then there would not have been any issue. Of course the Passat did stop and avoided the accident but the cause of the problem was the poor driving of the Subaru. Perfectly valid point about the markings of the island, but that wouldn't change it either way.
As with most clips, first party makes a mistake/does something stupid, second party doesn't take the opportunity to avoid/minimise the incident.
The cam car could have given way to the Passat without getting shirty about it

In this case, the camera car was already on the roundabout and was to the right of the passat.
Yes. technically anyone can give way to anyone, but the whole point of the highway code is that everyone is (in theory) working to the same set of rules.

If there's something else on the roundabout give way to it before colliding with it , or in this case getting shirty with it.

But then no footage, of course.
Our new chilled-out friend in London would have treated it thus - and got footage to boot, with a voiceover along the lines of. "Hmm, my friend is a little eager. No problem, I'll ease off and let him come across. No dramas"

Mini roundabouts the law is for joining traffic to give way to vehicles "Coming from the right".In this case, the camera car was already on the roundabout and was to the right of the passat.

When joining there was no traffic coming from the right of the Passat; and there should not have been as ..
The law is also that vehicles must keep to the left of the painted circle, only one car did that.
As an aside, normal roundabouts are slightly different, in that, joining traffic should give way to "traffic circulating on the carriageway of the roundabout"

Just checking, are we discussing the same clip? When joining there was no traffic coming from the right of the Passat; and there should not have been as ..

Here's a screenshot of the clip I'm talking about:
1. Cam car clearly on roundabout.
2. Passat not yet on roundabout (behind the white line).
3. Cam car coming from the right (from Passat perspective).
4. Cam car signalling right.
5. Cam car not on painted circle.
As I keep saying, I don't disagree that cam car could have driven better, and had I been driving either car there would have been no incident, but passat should never have entered the roundabout.

The passat at that point is assuming its going straight on - the braking point is some while before that.
Surely in that position the cam car ought to be assuming the passat is continuing and aim to travel behind it
Meanwhile the Passat could have done some more anticipation and held back so it wasnt at that point when the cam car tried to make the turn
Either way no harm done

You were going nuts last week at me saying I had gone out of the way to carefully select screenshots when I just selected two points without much care. Ironic seeing you getting all argumentative and pedantic again whilst splitting videos to fractions of a second.
You've stopped the video at the precise fraction the white line disappears. I'm sure you notice that when you park your car the white line has disappeared before you are actually correctly in the bay? The trajectory of the camera will probably mean he isn't over the line at all, let alone clearly over it.
Wind back the clip a tiny fraction of a second and the line is visible. Wind it forward a fraction of a second and the other car is over the line and the Subaru isn't at the white painted roundabout.
There is probably around 0.1 second between each of those cars reaching the white line.
Last week you couldn't see the blatantly obvious, this week you're seeing obvious things that are beyond splitting hairs.

Anyone posted up this Duxford truck?

How lucky that no-one was injured. Surely a medical episode for the trucker or some very sudden serious mechanical failure?https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-cambridge...
Still no firm date for a repair with Network Power and Openreach shirking responsibility for the first steps onto each other...

Alpha Wolf second from the end just nails it across the roundabout to cut the Toyota off. You could see the Toyota made a bit of a small mistake but instead of just easing off he had to be a complete about it. Typical DCWThe bloke in the bumperless yellow Corsa is funny, otherwise its 'the usual'.
