I bet it was built when the TT was a new fashion item, the idea that someone bought it is pretty funny. It's like someone saw a TT across a dark car park one night and described it to his mate down the phone who then decided to build one for himself on top of his leggy Metro.

I think thats pretty close to the truth. IIRC Mr Banham saw the concept drawings for the TT and designed and built the kits before the actual TT was released. Audi sued him forcing him to redesign it?

I was going to apologise for the poor picture quality, but decided it’d be worse with greater clarity...

Duh - it’s clearly a Mercedes!

But yes that’s a Neon.

Ah the Neon. Such contrasting memories. I used to work at a. Chrysler/ Dodge dealer. The standard Neon is still probably the worst car I have ever driven. The SRT-4 version however was fantastic

It's up there for me too. Drove one as a hire car in LA, it's only redeeming feature was a cracking stereo. I couldn't get my head around how a 2.4 (?) litre petrol could be so gutless, and a gearbox so dim witted.

Without the second grille and badge on the bonnet, it might have been ok. I can't make out whether the top grille is an attempt at one of those SLR nosecones on the bonnet, it's hard to make out the reflections. If it is then that's much much worse than the 2 badges.

42 feet in length by 8 feet across (12.8 by 2.4 m), the Learmousine seats 18 passengers plus a driver, is powered by an 8.1L Chevrolet Vortec V-8, 400 HP truck engine, and rolls on custom 28-inch red and black Diablo wheels clad in Kumho 325/25R28 tires.

If that was powered by jet turbines instead of a truck engine, it might've made it to the other thread.

How about this 90s A6 with what looks like 00s A3/4 grille badly fitted to the front. Way to ruin a car that is actually quite handsome.
