I think thats pretty close to the truth. IIRC Mr Banham saw the concept drawings for the TT and designed and built the kits before the actual TT was released. Audi sued him forcing him to redesign it?RB Will said:

It's up there for me too. Drove one as a hire car in LA, it's only redeeming feature was a cracking stereo. I couldn't get my head around how a 2.4 (?) litre petrol could be so gutless, and a gearbox so dim witted. How about this 90s A6 with what looks like 00s A3/4 grille badly fitted to the front. Way to ruin a car that is actually quite handsome.
