Possibly had this one before, but it's worth having again.

Grrr.
If diesel with FAP system (fnarr) then it'll need the additive topping up.
It's petrol, but thanks for the idea! thumbup

My theory, as a not even remotely competent spannerer of automobiles is that it's burning a bit of oil, and it's fked the cat.

I'll be calling the vendor in a few moments, expecting nothing but a cold shoulder, but hoping for the best.

Help!

I want to get hold of this small trim piece (the black plastic on the left), but for the passenger side (and any fitting) for the 190.

I have tried searching, but have no idea what it is called or part numbers. So annoying!

Oh good luck, I need the same piece for my E38!

This is being deposited into the bank before Scrump waves his magic wand, the rotter.

She might need a short lesson in how levers work.

This calls for a condescending dork, and it just so happens I am one!

I’m sure R129 will be along in a moment with the exact details, but in the meantime, the equivalent part on SL1 answers to ‘Pasquale’.

More seriously though, I’d buy an ice hockey puck, and with Saw/Sandpaper & a bit of UHU glue, you could knock up a convincing enough example (unless you’re of the CdG school of hammer mastery) for a couple of quid and a half hour of your time. (Of course, MB being what they are, it’s probably in a bin in Germany somewhere & can get to your local dealer by Wednesday week, all for the grand sum of £3.72+vat).

I aspire to graduate in the CdG school of hammer mastery! He towers over me in technical capability.

I did that replacing an engine with a wkered bottom end (Knocked like a tt) with some junkyard reject that used 1 litre of oil every 500 miles - totally stuffed both the cats up and it failed the MOT on emissions

Issue resolved by reoming cats - preparing a bucket of hot water and persil washing powder - cats went in that for about 30 mins removed - rinsed allowed to dry before refitting

MOT pass biggrin

I broke the car up for parts the following year but that wasn't because it failed the emissions again it was rotten!!!

I think little bits of trim like that go under the name of 'garnish' in the EPC, the motoring equivalent of a flake in yer ice cream cone.

The Flake is not garnish, it's integral to the experience. Never trust a no-flaker.

Please take us seriously - we even have some 4x4's in the club for the difficult off road sections (GR Yaris counts right?)

Unfortunately we don't have M-ways and planning permission is required to build them (apparently they are quite expensive and our club subscriptions are very low to encourage younger members to join)

We also don't have many decent tunnels either - best we have a short underpasses mostly for foot traffic, horses or deer and they aren't much good for driving thro

However we do have some lovely B roads that are lots of fun and rarely monitored biggrin
