the weaving about by the camera car 'he won't let me pass' doesn't bother you?
You'd happily sit behind the car and let it brake test you or do you try and get away from the idiot?
I'd pick a lane and back off

no way you're getting past without getting into a pissing contest

Wow hehe, you need anger management or something. I mean seriously? rolleyes Using a phone whilst stationary is no more distracting than lighting up a cig, tuning the radio, turning round to check on the kids etc. What happens when the traffic moves off is they put down the phone from wherever they retrieved it and carry on with their journey. And yes, I am perfectly okay with people using their phones whilst stationary as there is nothing dangerous about it in the slightest and is a complete non-issue. And yes, I will use mine to read or reply to a text if I feel the need to. I've no doubt you will now reply in your typical hysterical manner calling for me to be banned from driving for life and locked up in a cell for 200 years because I'm such a monumental danger to society. More cotton wool and bubblewrap anyone? rolleyes
I personally think it's better that people check their texts when in stationary traffic. ( I have done it, I don't bother while moving )

It's not hard to find people using their phones in stationary traffic and don't really understand why cyclists like to jerk themselves off over it ? We have all seen it.

Again not me, just found on Reddit this morning.
There is no excuse for that but again the cam driver accelerated to close the door on the merc creating a situation that shouldn't have happened.
I don't see that the cam car accelerated at all - the car ahead braked.

The time from when the merc's indicator came on to when the cam car had passed the back of the merc looked like less than a second, so the cam driver didn't have much time to brake or accelerate.

Personally, I'm getting a little tired of these bellends who think that merely putting their indicators on allows the laws of physics to be broken.
the weaving about by the camera car 'he won't let me pass' doesn't bother you?
I wasn't talking about that

That doesn't always work either.

I once saw someone in a similar situation on the motorway - they backed off in an attempt to defuse the situation, but the bellend wasn't having any of that, and came to a complete stop in L3! yikes

That driver didn't really seem the type to let it go. I probably would have taken the right at the traffic lights just to get away from the ahole.

Your ability to ignore cause and effect is astonishing even when admitting it impacts on your attention when driving as well.
Statistically you are 100% wrong.

I will ignore the blame them for all comment because that is bks and inserted to gain some bks reaction.
The cause is his bad driving. The effect is his running into the car in front.

The cause of his bad driving is debatable and irrelevant, but if you think the cause is the cyclist, what caused the cyclist to shout at him, if not his bad driving?
Seems to me that this is another case of you entering into protracted pointless repetitive arguments. If you want a full half hour discussion why not get each other's phone number and do it in private instead of cluttering up this thread and subjecting us all to your childish arguing.

As is usually the case with these "holier than thou" clips, where is the footage showing what happened in the 60 seconds leading up to it? There's more to that than just the Merc being in the wrong lane imho.

Agreed.

Just wondering if that was the roundabout which drivers have a habit of cutting across and a truck that did an overtake there that's been posted a couple times?

It may have been the cammer's decision to block the Merc moving over. There probably wasnt enough room anyway, but the little stab on the accelerator to close the space is classic dhead behaviour. I see it so often - driver tailgates the car in front to prevent someone moving lanes. I dont know why people are so upset at the idea that someone else might need or want to change lanes! Bizarre territorial and aggressive behaviour.
