Parked (dead straight, in the space next to the motorbike space) at my local Tesco Express yesterday.
Left my wife, mum and baby in the car while I nipped in.
While I was waiting to pay I saw someone had parked next to me, when I got outside I realised how close.
I had a gap of about 12 inches to get in. Classic example of driving forwards into a space and not backing out to straighten up. As I backed out the guy appeared and I congratulated him on his parking.
"I just pulled into the space, what d'you expect me to do?"
Park so that other people can get into / out of their cars you absolute fk muppet. It would take 5 seconds of your time.

My wife's Mother's Day treat was afternoon tea at Oakley Hall near Basingstoke, where, upon arrival, I was forced to park between two 4x4s (the only free space). The only problem was, they were both parked without their marked spaces, and I was consequently left to park virtually central over the 'T' marking the top of the space. Which then meant I was left looking like the badly parked oaf (and the villain of the piece) when I came out to find that they'd both left, and been replaced by two cars parked properly within their spaces, as I was left parked slap bang in the middle of two spaces. When I'd reversed into the gap between the Landcruiser and the Range Rover, there was scarcely more than the width of a single (marked) parking space between them.

I bought am iphone photo printer so I could take a photo of what it was like when I arrived, stick it to the windscreen and people would know I wasn't a bad parking w***er. It sounds like you could have done with something similar.

  • I don't have an iphone printer for these occasions but I'm sorely tempted

Don't know the road but looks like just enough room for both cars if the Fiesta wasn't in the middle of the road.
She is defintely sat in the middle of the road, which if it does not have passing points close by, must fit two vehicles.

Either, the other driver was going too fast and went up the kerb to avoid a collision, whilst she was stationary in the middle of the road.
or, they were both travelling at identical speeds and the combined speed was too fast and he went up the kerb etc.
or, somewhere between the two.

Whichever of the three it was, her subsequent comments (if accurately reflected) are 'unfortunate' and sound very much like a pre-meditated compo claim.

Still trying to work out:

A) How is her car knackered as it seems that the Golf drove up the wall as opposed to hitting the Fiesta and the Golf driver managed to roll her car back.
B) How has this affected her back?!

Apologies for poor image quality - phone camera. Anyway, lets park across the footway, blocking access into the council offices for anybody needing to turn left off the road, or right out of the council offices.

I posted many moons ago on here of my own parked car similar situation, car parked way over his space into my space, so when I reversed in, the front was overhanging and the rear was about 4 FT from the end of the bay, and guess what, when Imcame out he had gone, making me love king like a muppet.

I'm guessing that was an autocorrect, but it's still excellent smile

Been an unregistered lurker for a good few months but thought this one just had to be posted... The car in question is a "15" plate Zafira Tourer Turbo in what looked to be a pretty decent spec, was parked in a blue badge bay at the local Asda - the Mrs took the photo as we pulled up, the car has hit the bollard and the trolley is hard up against the front bumper / bonnet.

Effing autocorrect, should of course read "making me looking like a muppet", thought I had better post the picture just in case some fellow PH was lurking in the car park biggrin. Good spotting by the way.

No big deal, this happens all the time in the summer holidays where I'm from. Tourists barrel down country lanes, panic when a car comes the other way and aim for the bank, they either roll over or at the pic above, get wedged against the car.

The company my brother works for has lost 4 cars like this in the last 10 years.

As wide as this parking space is, you'd think the driver would have no problem parking between the lines.

Not fully utilising the space at all. biggrin

An emergency call in Great Yarmouth town centre this lunch time on a roof-top car park.

That is almost perfect parking. Superb effort by the pilot.

And the one next to him by the looks of it.
