I'm just enjoying driving it, it's a genuinely different and charming thing compared to more modern cars. I'm not going to say it's better, in so many areas it empirically isn't, but it has that "something" which makes me happy. That's what it's all about

Did you get a luggage cover with it, and if so has it stopped retracting? Like mine has (which might be it’s worst fault...)
Nice car, please keep us updated.
My apologies, the seats are absolutely wonderful, best I've ever sat in
No load cover unfortunately, and blue ones are hens teeth rare. May have to bite the bullet and buy a genuine one if they are still available. I know there are dedicated suppliers for genuine old Volvo parts now.
You can get load cover repair kits for about £30 to repair a broken one if that helps you at all.

Boo the E38 now has a slight sunroof leak. a few mm of the rubber seal has been exposed and allowing a sporadic drip into the cabin
patched it with some blue tac and will take to 'the man' next week
Has the seal split or just lost some of its flexibility?patched it with some blue tac and will take to 'the man' next week
If the latter I've heard it said vaseline restores this.
No idea if an urban myth...

You would have to like welding. And painting. And mechanics.Seems a little expensive given the required outlay to get it up to standard?

Gentlemen of The Thread: I'm very sorry.

Am I missing something here? You drove through a barrier because your foot slipped on to the accelerator pedal? How could that happen if the car was in park?
Sorry my mistake. I left it in drive with the handbrake on. No major harm done but I'll leave the full report until my returnNow in Bilbao for the final three nights. I've picked a poor hotel but I'll grin and bear it. I can't cancel.
Málaga was fab. I want to return soon.
E39 doing ok but definitely lacking grunt up the steep roads and motorways.
