This needs forced induction to make it lunacy, but whilst we are on v8's

That must require a very short driver! IIRC there isn't really any empty space between the seats and the place the firewall would have been other than a tiny speaker shelf and the gap created by the angle of the seat backs.
That space contained the spare tyre behind one seat and the fuel tank behind the other

^^ That KA looks very well done.

I love the way the suspension hunkers down (1:23 into the vid) on the power run of this 1346bhp Nissan Patrol hehe

Yup, and a full size wheel and tyre at that.

The X1/9 was a very neatly designed car, bugger to work on the engine though smile

I dont know why this has never occurred to me before, the trucks are quite cheap and theres no shortage of engines around here..

Do it to an original hilux for extra deathwish smile
Lexus V8s into old Hiluxes are a fairly common swap down here - my mechanic has a supercharged one on 44" mud tyres, it has quite the bigfoot look going on. hehe

HOW much power?! :O
692.9hp thumbup
That was with the nitrous switched off IIRC. Watching him boot it down the main straight at Combe in the wet with an armful of opposite lock was pretty damn epic. Last I heard he was building another with a turbocharged small block chevy engine...

Errr, that's the Woodsport Audi V8 powered Toyota Mk1 MR2.
No fuel tanks or spare wheels behind the rear bulkhead.
He just framed out the bulkhead a bit to make it more vertical, so that the front end of the V8 fitted in. Only reduced the legroom by 1" or so off maximum IIRC.

SLK with SLR engine. Eating Enzo for fun.

He then went and pulled the same trick with an E Class.

5 litre V10 from the M6 in an E46 M3. Not crazy like some of them, but a exercise in tight packaging.
Like that a lot... Could be a bit expensive at around twice the price of a 996TT or more than a good 997TT (as examples) but the engine is more 'exotic' in my mind, which certainly does add something, as well as its (presumably) relative uniqueness.
He's not selling it anymore he's going to turbo it!

My mistake, it looked like an X1/9 but it is an MR2 aa you say.
