Only if you are no good at parking smile

Edited to add it was actually a bloody good bit of parking if he didn't touch the other vehicle while doing it hehe

I went to buy some wood in the van today, near the back of the reasonably busy car park there was a Porsche partially in 4 spaces. I thought what a dick as I drove past.... then I remembered this thread and looped around the car park or park next to him. Looking at it now I'm regretting not getting a bit closer. Cheeky bd folded in my wing mirror to get in his car and didn't put it back biggrin

I’d have broke it off for you.

I'm parked within the lines, in a busy carpark. If anyone needs their car vandalising from the 2 of us, its not me.
No your being a deliberate dick by your own admission. It’s not busy at all and you even wanted to park closer. So your a dick and I’d have broke the mirror off or let a tyre down for you. A little revenge present
Wow, so you carry a valve tool to scrape peoples cars and you break wing mirrors and puncture tyres of anyone who transgresses your parking rules?

Proper internet tough guy!
I have never scraped or punctured anything. I have undone a couple of valves though. No damage done just inconvenient

Or the transporter finds another space. Its not rocket science to not be a d*ck. Ive avoided many spaces before because the driver wouldn't get in the car, more so when your in a big car parking against another big car.

What? You left him enough space to get back into his car through the driver's door? Poor effort - 4/10

Again, not near anything, and loads of spaces closer to the front .. but the one next to me was THE space for this BMW driver.
Actually the BMW was there first, Your car got lonely so walked over and parked next to the BM.

Where is the white line in that scenario?
Somewhere under the transit I would think.
This is the other side.
That nails the van drivers guilt.

Park central and a bit further back? Surely he could have managed that.

As a shed driver, parking next to a pride and joy at the back of the car park is great fun. Polo is said to be the sport of Kings, well parking a shed next to a lone nice car is the sport of shedding.

Obviously meticulous care has to be taken not to cause any harm, but it is even funnier if said gleaming pride and joy has been parked badly and too close to the white line and you park your shed perfectly but create a very narrow gap.

On rare occasions you can be lucky enough to witness their return to said pride and joy and watch them get all huffy and puffy.
Now let me think. Is it possible that you own something that you actually had to pay more than 10p for, that is nice, clean, well maintained, tidy & lacking in turd-like smells? Are you yourself all these things? Ah! I thought not. But maybe there is something or somebody or a 'thing' that IS precious to you, should that be the case then my most sincere wish is that you will witness it being under threat & you too will "get all huffy and puffy".

If it had been a small car then yes, but as it is a van, he had the choice of either trying to squeeze the front end of his van between the much smaller width between the column and the adjacent car, or leaving 3 or 4 feet of van hanging out into the already limited access way of the car park. For me, the former would be preferable.

The photo is a bit dark but it looks as if the van driver got as close to the column as he reasonably could, Bear in mind that vans tend to be both longer and wider than many cars, so I would agree as a compromise position, where he actually parked it, was about as good as it was going to get (for the van driver).

You have proved my point handsomely, not even in a car let alone a car park. The huff and puff is strong, and that is funny.

Just remember that if you go through life being deliberately antagonistic to strangers, you will at some point find it results in getting the st kicked out of yourself or your property.

You will also find this happens if they damage other people`s (usually valuable) property for no good reason.

Not so much as a sport, but because there was no other space free, I did something similar in my sheddy Golf which looked like I'd just completed a Welsh rally stage, next to a very badly parked Bentley. Badly parked as in one back wheel of the Bentley was completely in the bay next door, which happened to be the only free one. I parked properly, squeezed myself out without causing damage to anyones car and hoped it would be gone by the time I came back. It wasn't...

But still totally unacceptable obviously.
Incidentally damage was done - the Volvo got a wheel arch scratched.

I have 2 points of views on this from my 355 and when I’m in the mrs’s car.
when I’m the mrs’s car I will always prefer to park next to something decent in the hopes they won’t want their car dented either if they return before me.

I will always park mine out the way, unless I come across as mentioned, something decent, and I’ll park next to that, this way I know at least one side of the car should be ok

Your Golf is NOT a shed, it is a proper pride and joy!

No excuse - van driver=. If I came back to that I'd be putting a very sticky note on the van driver's windscreen.

Welcome back to the UK guys

When living in Dubai where many cars are bigger anyway, the municipality (council) solved this problem twenty odd years ago by building big car parks with enormous parking spaces. My apartment space allowed me to park and exit the 4wd with doors wide open. What a surprise when I returned to the UK to the stty little spaces provided. Toyota Aygo for shopping and Porker for the longer runs; mostly problem solved but in many respects the UK is a third world country.
