You do choose the ad time stamps, but you don't choose what ad plays.

I remember when nobody put them in, then maybe 3-4 years ago there was a move towards a mid roll at around half way through a video if it was 15 mins long or so, but now or course people go overkill. My norm is to stick one in a video that's under 12 mins, a second if it's up to 20 mins and then one more per 10 mins or so.
Is the compensation from YouTube per view linear with the # of ads or is it more obscure?

I see Emoji Fresh has bitten the dust.
Looks like one company was wound up but another one with the same name was established shortly afterwards.
I still can't believe that they don't have copyright issues with that business model - Apple or whoever must own the graphics and I presume they wouldn't license them out to an operation like TGE & the other chap.

I bet the "new" G wagon is probably a long term loaner from Mercedes...

It absolutely, certainly is not. 100% bought on finance, nothing to do with Redline.

This isn’t fanboyism, it’s a fact.

Your statement is an indictment on the model. I’d ask where was the ‘paid advert’ notice is.

This Podcast popped up on my feed tonight. Archie comes across pretty well, far less hyperactive than usual.

Sorry, couldn’t help myself biggrin

As for the paid placement thing, not sure, that’s Tom’s realm not ours.

I never said otherwise. I completely understand the dynamic but I’m sure it’s not lost on you. Many advertisements are flagrant abuse of consumer law.its something that interests me. Unstuck would be my general comment. Least of all ‘my friends 100k svr’ When it cost 72 and he didn’t even buy it. I can assure you the powers that be are going to sanction a few of these bods.

At the risk of being accused of a) being a nasty bully and/or b) jealous, I just don’t get the G wagon. They’re pig ugly and stupidly expensive to the point that they seem to be more about the price than the car itself. The neons inside the new ones look like a closing sale in Maplins. Obviously just my opinion and clearly some folk love them.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't get them either!

But that’s the point of them. Minimal utility for silly cash. I.e I’m rich as st. I do like them, probably for that reason. Merc are laughing. Bet it costs 35k to make. They are a hoot.

It's far more complex, there are hundreds of factors that influence the earnings; geographical, demographics, the content and targeting etc etc

Interesting interview with TGE and his brother.
50 minutes of smoke and mirrors, no thanks. Who pays his car deposits now, Archie?
It seems that quite a few on here enjoyed it, where as your almost no one on this thread bar you wants to watch anything to do with Mo as it is aimed at 12 year old's.

If you are going to call me out then I will respond, not sure what else you expected? I also said I didn't care about his personal life - not discussing in general. However it seems you realised you were losing a discussion so this is your form of defence, fair enough.

Tim, I've just been poking through socialblade yt stats to see how my growth is compared to all the UK vloggers, and I've just noticed your last 30 day growth is pretty much the same as the rest of the UK scene COMBINED.

That's crazy work, you're even growing faster than carthrottle. Congratulations!

Can't speak for the new one (which I don't love thanks to the dog's dinner of an interior), but I have a previous gen (2016) G63 AMG and it's an absolute hoot. You sit very high (makes a full-fat RR seem low), the vehicle is relatively narrow which makes it easy to drive in town and when you put your foot down the thing takes off at a rate that is staggering for its weight and lack of aerodynamics. It's like nothing else I've had in 35 years of driving and I love it. Like the way it looks too. Chacun a son gout Rodders!

I've never driven one but I think it's the price that I can't get my head around. My neighbour has an awesome LR Defender, crew cab, pick up etc in black. It's an awesome thing and nowhere near the price of a G wagon. It just seems they gave the G wagon a stupid price for ultimate baller status. Please don't read this as me having a pop at you for your car choice, as that is not my intention.

The old G63 was similar to the Defender, mostly terrible with fun bits. The new G63 is so far removed it’s not even funny, it’s a better car in most respects than the RR Sport SVR.
