This thread will die soon and SCL will carry on reagrdless, albeit with minor changes to their business model but every time someone posts a 'Which trackday?' or 'Which supercar hire outfit?' or an 'I won!' post SCL will be mentioned negatively.
Worth a giggle while it lasts though*C
- I may be talking about either the thread or the SCL business model. I've not decided yet.

Good afternoon everybody,
As a Director of Supercar Lifestyle I though it only right to register on here and pass comment.
First of all I would like to apologise to anyone that feels mislead or deceived regarding this competition that was ran with Evo.
All entrants received a runners up gift of a days tuition at MIRA (Motor Industry Research Association)on the proviso that the client paid for their own liability insurance and passes. In hindsight this was an error as it as been misconstrued as a prize you then had to pay for. MIRA as strict regulations and policies for anyone having high speed training/driving of any kind as to be insured, registered and licensed by MIRA and this bares a cost.
All we were simply trying to do is offer race tuition which we paid for, on the understanding that the client covered the cost of the insurance. There was no intention of depict, scam or otherwise.
I hope this goes some way to restoring faith back into Supercar Lifestyle and Evo Magazine.
Kind Regards
Matthew Wilkins
Hmmm so as the email I received read -As a Director of Supercar Lifestyle I though it only right to register on here and pass comment.

Congratulations Wendy you have won one of our runners up prizes!
A FREE TUITION SESSION WITH EX F1 DRIVER IAN ASHLEY AND THE TEAM
As a runner up you will be coached on how to drive like a professional racing driver, starting off in BMW M3’s Ian and the team will coach both through practical and theory sessions the art of racing. This unique and exclusive session will give you an in-depth knowledge of what it takes to be in the shoes of Hamilton and Button and experience the high octane thrills of professional race drivers.
I draw your attention to the bit where it says 'runner up prize' and you now say it was not a prize after all.
When you add in the fact the you are asking for £199 insurance when I can get the same track day for £179 direct it doesn't look good does it?
Not impressed

Thanks for all your comments. I can only tell you of the experience that I have had with them.
I came home after each session with a big smile on my face. I,am in no way related to or work for anyone at SCL. Ian Ashley is a brilliant instructor
Out of interest how did you discover PistonHeads?I came home after each session with a big smile on my face. I,am in no way related to or work for anyone at SCL. Ian Ashley is a brilliant instructor

My experience was slightly different. They promised to pay me $2m, enlarge my already study, muscular and goateed penis and best of all four Range Rovers, as well I came home after each session with a big smile on my face. I,am in no way related to or work for anyone at SCL. Ian Ashley is a brilliant instructor
All I had to do was send a small deposit. I sent a cheque tattooed on the buttocks of my butler, which was duly cashed. My track day proved a little disappointing, being 3 laps of a mini roundabout in Workington in a Sinclair C5. In rush hour.
The Range Rovers, $2m and penile supplement were lost in the post, sadly, so I can give them no more than 8 out of 10.
I have no connection with the company concerned, or indeed reality.
I'm going to get blasted for not having a posting history on this forum, but I really don't care.
I too was a 'Runner Up' - and I also never win anything normally.
I went ahead with it - paid the £199 and waited for the 'pack' they promised would arrive in the post in the next day or two. I actually had to chase it up a few times before it arrived and in the meantime I googled Supercar Lifestyle and found this thread. When I found out that it seemed like hundreds of people had been sent the same email saying they were runners up, I got quite angry and almost cancelled.
I went ahead with it though and am very glad I did.
I spent a full day with Ian Ashley learning how to trail brake, and f**king loved every minute of it. I was put with another guy who was a regular customer and we took it in turns to rag an E46 M3 around what at first seemed like a fairly simple course.
I've done a similar day with a less experienced instructor using my own car and that was ~£120 more expensive, so all-in-all this was really good value and if there was any aspect of my driving I wanted to improve I'd book another day with this same instructor. SL also do 'experience' days which I'd personally avoid.
I'm only posting this because the previous 15 pages of this thread is a bit unfair and I almost cancelled the day because of it. Someone likened this thread to a mother's meeting - and I think that is pretty accurate.
PS. Mark Corrigan is real - unless fictional characters are able to weave through traffic in a white skyline at high speed on the M42.
