I think the low profile tyres are exaggerating the effect (at a guess they might be 185/60s when what you would want are 185/70 or 195/65) but it wouldn't surprise me if it's at factory height, which has always looked too high aesthetically. I was told the gauge for the optimum front ride height is that the front lower wishbones should be horizontal. I can't quite see in that photo if that's the case. Any lower (i.e. wishbones in the direction of \ _ / ) and apparently you affect the handling negatively.
The handling gurus recommend you definitely want the rear end slightly lower than the front, e.g. rear jacking point 10mm closer to the ground than the front ones. When that was done to my car it made a massive difference.

Aside from that perhaps it's had new springs fitted as the arch to tyre clearance does look crackers even compared to standard spec:

I wonder if the wheels are 15"? Many of the GTA replica wheels are 15" now, and it prompts people to use hot hatch type profile tyres which just don't look right. Mine's on 195/70/14 for that full on gumball look. ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Hmm, the front-on photo there makes me think maybe it's the spring pans which shouldn't go past horizontal, rather than the wishbones. That would give scope for the above ride height to reduce somewhat.![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)

Blimey - money no object, I'd add that to the collection. Just stunning. There's part of me thinks I shouldn't love it being so perfect and it'd look better a bit more used, but it is just a delightful looking car. I assume that's well into 7 figures?L100NYY said:

Just jumped on something called a 'train' to go fetch it. Just in time for the 'ring next week.
Library pic for now as I haven't yet seen it.

I've been trying to persuade myself to overcome the missus' badge snobbery and replace the slightly-too-dull Golf with one of these as a cheap bit of fun.
