I'd imagine the DM will be all over the dashcammer, "selfish", "pushing in", "brave man with a van" etc..

The Daily Mail and their readership are s.

No point getting pissed off about the lane blocking thing. The majority opinion is that the decent thing to do is to join the queue. It was an opinion I shared until I joined Pistonheads and started to think about it from the point of view of traffic flow.

A large proportion of the people "skipping the queue" probably are actual dick heads who just don't care about fair play. The number doing it because they understand the way the roads are meant to be used is probably a very small percentage.

All this stuff about eggs and bricks through the windscreen is misguided. They think you are the tosser. Eggs and bricks will not help.

Not sure if serious, but it would be a dick move to go trying to harm someone's business over a disagreement about correct driving etiquette, unless you'd also be happy for them to put a dent in your earnings for trying to "skip the queue".

No not serious (hence the wink), at the end of the day the MD is entitled to his opinion, but I think I would have worded my reply a bit more carefully.

The thing is, neither have most of the country. That's why scenes like that video occur on a regular basis. A few more signs along the lines of "Use both lanes and merge in turn" would help enormously. Or maybe they shouldn't give such advance warning of a closure and just have the first sign at 200 yards biggrin .

When he moved out you should have gone across behind him into the left lane, then moved alongside him and forced him to stay right. Then he'd be the one trying to push in.

As much as I found it annoying, I don't think it's worth wasting any more time over. Better to move on with life!

There is a dashcam video that has been on here which shows some dhead like the guy in the van doing the same thing, right adjacent to a sign displaying merge in turn instructions, people are just idiots and see it as queue jumping when it's not.

I've done that before, i've also done it when in queue and the car in front has pulled out to do the same to someone else.

I have in the past bided my time through the roadworks and then continually drive slowly in front of them after the roadworks are done. When they pull out to overtake I speed up. Rinse and repeat. Two wrongs and all that but I get sick of these Road Captains/Cretins

I really do wish the government would spend their(our) money on merge in turn, MLM and not speeding up when getting overtaken on cruise control education.

I know, he's clearly an idiot.

Anyway he has e-mailed me again stating that it is in the hands of the police and he has also made a complaint to Pistonheads.

If he just learnt to drive properly, this whole thing could have been avoided.

LOL - it's amazing that these self appointed guardians of the highway (whether it was him or one of his employees it doesn't really matter) are quick to call everyone names and criticize others and as soon as they get a push back they go running to complain and whinge that they are being picked on...
