Car clubs - bleurgh, invariably awful in my experience.
I was once a member of the Citroen Car Club. I was building a '73 DS rally car and thought it may come in handy as we were having to fabricate a lot of stuff from scratch and also just make it up as we went along. Never, ever again. With the exception of a few nice blokes the rest were busy body beards who were never forthcoming with help but always free with their dismissal of everything that wasn't original and as it 'should be'.
It put me off for life and I left the club way before I sold the car.
The only clubs I'm a member of these days are competition clubs - they seem to attract the right sort of rogue.

It is, according to Car Check.Red 1500.

That's the best thing about OBSC's (Old British Sports Cars). You can experience the very limits of car control, and never break a speed limit. One of the reasons I'm keeping my '72 MGB around as long as possible. All 3 kids will learn to drive that first, before setting foot in a modern car.

Merc C43 sold, for full asking price. Feels a bit weird when someone turns up to the see the car and within the hour, it's gone!
Good to hear. It's nice to know I'm not the only person who does this.m5wagon said:

Good to hear. It's nice to know I'm not the only person who does this.Interestingly, both were serial Merc owners who were keen to spend more money on the car to get it mint and pimped a bit. Not really estate buyers then.

new six car garage being built?
Just a double, that's all there is room for. It will be filled by a 1979 Porsche 928 manual and a Lotus Elise Sport 160. Can't wait.Good choice of vehicles to put in it too!!!

A Plymouth Blue Vogue SE would be my choice. I almost bought a Beluga Black avec Tan Hide many years ago.......damn I should have done!
This looks nice, and a "fairly sensible" price for the current market too...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-Classic-Vogu...

Thanks.. I've been dreaming of this for years, am really excited about it! Good choice of vehicles to put in it too!!!
Considering selling the 928 but by the time I've sorted out the last little jobs on it (it's consumed £30k over the last 6 years) I might decide I can't get rid of it!

Morning all.
This morning I'm mostly smitten with this for £78k. Not seriously interested, but just quite taken with it.
I'm guessing most newish Ferrari buyers wouldn't like the Alcantara interior (but I do) and I could just about live with it being a dodgy LHD European import, too.
Shame I don't have £80k going spare.

LHD and seats that won't get too hot or sticky in summer (or cold in winter) - nice incentives for lots of little continental jaunts. This morning I'm mostly smitten with this for £78k. Not seriously interested, but just quite taken with it.

Actually, don't you have a car with those attributes?
