Best/Worst OEM Wheels

The 18” ones were dreadful, but they were so bad that it’s actually difficult to even find a picture of them on a car.
Are those the 18 inchers? What's wrong with them, the design or were they fragile? A 2000s Vantage is my dream car, such a beautiful, "pure" design. Although I'd love the extra power of the 4.7 or the V12, the newer wheel designs just look too fussy on the car, especially the diamond-cut wheels on the V12V and detract from the overall design IMHO. The early 4.3s with those wheels just look so right!A few more humble offerings that I thought of
Porsche (Carrera Cups?) on the Audi RS2. I can't remember what Porsche these were fitted on now to be honest!
Multi-spokes on the B5 Audi RS4 (similar to the mk1 Audi TT rims posted earlier)?
Multi-spokes on the W204 C63 AMG
"Lattice" alloy wheels on the Sierra Sapphire Cosworth (and also the mk4 XR3i I believe briefly?)
I'm not a fan of black rims on an expensive car to be honest, silver looks so much classier and whereas Audi RS models used to have simple and elegant wheels, these days they're a mess (although the wheels on BMW M cars still tend to hit the spot).

Why don’t 3 spokes work ?
I don't know, but I find it hard to think of any that I like, offhand.Otherwise - no.
Oh, there were some Land rover Freelander ones that were ok.

Those are the optional 19" wheels on the early V8Vs.I have never seen the standard 18" in the flesh, and as the previous poster said, it's quite hard to just find a pic online, so I'm not sure many people ever specced them.
I like the subtle alloys that Maserati put on the Bora, and then covered with lovely stainless hubcaps.
Then there's these dinky little split-rim Cromodora lookalikes that were fitted to the Ford Festiva Autorama GTA (a Mazda 121 relative)
I always rather liked the 'Premium' alloy you could get on late minis.
I also like the 17 inch 'Mekhab' alloys that were on the W210 E430. I'm not wild about the rest of the car but the wheels looked great on my W124 estate.
Has anyone mentioned Aston DB9 sportspack alloys yet? Just lovely!

I always liked the 230-style wheel on E92 335i SE (M-Sport had something else). Lovely wheel until they inevitably cracked.
19" but always looked quite subtle and suited the E92 shape perfectly in my eye.
These, however, are vile:
I agree on both of those. The E92 wheels look easy to clean, which is an added bonus.19" but always looked quite subtle and suited the E92 shape perfectly in my eye.

Absolutely hate any of the modern wheels where they are diamond cut, with sort of a black fill, similar to the Megane RS wheels shown in the post above. They look hideous and all seem to age very quickly and look absolutely battered. Can't wait for the trend to end.
Generally not a fan of new diamond cut wheels either but think they look quite cool on the Citroen AXOne of my all time faves (partly due to the car too):
New and old four 'spoke' design alloys :
