I'm guessing an exile - or somebody here for the pot

It's surprising how cheap personalised plates are out here - you just pay the department of motor vehicles a standard fee of about £40.

It's from Tyrone (NI), via the Omagh DVA office, probably 1960 or early 1961.

(VZ 9999 came out in April 1961)

So what qualifies as a good plate then? I thought VZ 8888 might be for the fact that it relates to the Vantage Zagato that it's on. Is it only smaller plates like this one that counts? Also I'm unsure how to reply to posts so I'm on a learning curve at the minute

It’s a matter of opinion a lot of the time. I thought VZ 8888 is lovely. Some may not.
