Just bought a ticket for the R8 and defender combo, I don’t hold out much hope but it would be nice!

I’d take the cars personally rather than the money

It wouldn't surprise me if every single remaining Nova that comes up for sale ultimately ends up going through one of these sites! Certainly feels that way.

Anyone else avoid the DCG free comps?

Sods law and all that but when my luck finally comes in I don't want it wasted on a £25 Casio.

lol I've thought the same. Imagine getting that call youve won a Casio, im not a nasty or ungrateful guy but it does hurt a little if this is the big moment! lol
I usually only enter low odd comps.

I note the guy from BOTB now has a voiceover in the latest ad, not sure why?

Novas do seem to be a nailed on cert to sell out fast. The various sites must be battling each other to find the tidy ones!

Surely they don't call you if you win one of the free prizes??

I guess because it means they can film stuff without him and he can just do the voice over later. They must have a whole team doing videos, I see different ones multiple times a day on social media.

It's a cracking car to be fair, I think I may have said but was previously owned by a friend of mine - gutted I didn't get a chance to drive it too spiritedly while he had it smile
I must get in touch with you when I win it this evening

Yeah I estimate £1 per card for stamp and supplies might be a little bit higher.

I won £5,000 and £1,400 (cash alternative)
Fair do.

Wow. Presumably those figures include the cost of the stamp? And you hav recorded it all at you've gone along. Having one cash prize win in that time? Bit of a system in place for getting them off, enter for everything once a week on a rolling basis.

As said, time has to be billed for free for it to work out as a win currently. But if you net a 100k car maybe not so much. It's a lottery for you too at the end of the day, just like.if you pay straight cash to enter.
Worth saying I've entered a similar amount by post (close to 3000, I think) and won absolutely nothing. And that's with a decent run of getting super expensive ultra low odds entries through. Probably £20k of entries or thereabouts.

I stopped late last year as the hit rate dropped off a cliff compared to the early days.
What do you mean by the 'hit rate' dropped off. As in, they don't get accepted, as per the below poster?

I‘ve stopped Postals. I sent 118 from feb till July. I had 27 accepted.
My friends sends around 200 a month and he’s not had much of a joy of late and is knocking it on the head.
As in, you post it off, everything all in order, but you dont get an email back, no ticket number in the draw.

Are talking about a specific company, or a range of companies/promotors not towing the line.

Had a go on rev comps as came up on Facebook, and found this thread.

Didn't win but a couple of winners really surprised me, one said they had 2000 entries so far and the other maxxed out each competition. I only had 1 ticket but that can't be healthy even if they did win.
Yeah it does appear mad.

I have only bought a few tickets full stop, but also basically only ever one per car.

Obviously its a lottery. gambling, so more entries does increase your chances of winning. But only the first ticket increases your odds infinitely!

Yep, lovely, but as with a lot of this stuff, I'm left thinking "where the fk am I supposed to put that?"

I don't even have a garage for my current weekend toy, never mind a vintage Mustang banghead

If they did then I'd have thought they would have created a thread maybe.

I drove that car before the owner sold it to DCG.

I had a look at that and it's almost an ideal two car combo for me. Almost.
I'd be disappointed I'd got the wrong Defender. It certainly looks the part, but 2.0 diesel? Can it move the thing?
