2017 Hyundai i10 - another one where the plate is worth much more than the car!
Seeing plates that are worth much more than the car is getting increasingly more common these days......rolleyes

GT1 on a Porsche Cayenne in Lincoln yesterday.

It would look great on my mk2 Golf GTI if it came up for sale...but I would probably have to sell my house to buy it!

Pinched this from Reddit - can anyone in the know shed some light on this type of plate?

I thought at first it was a foreign plate which was made in the U.K., but perhaps it’s an oddity like a diplomat plate or similar?

Unsurprisingly it doesn’t come up with anything if you check the number...

Has someone got confused with the VIN Plate and the Number Plate when getting them made up? lol
Apparently it's a Royal Mail tracking number and only a £100 fine
That’s hilarious laugh

Special delivery to someone in Milton Keynes on the 13th March! I wonder if it’s even their own tracking number or it’s just random and some sort of wind up!?

I may be wrong, but I don't think that rule applies any more...

"While the car you're taking the private plate from doesn't need to have an MOT, it must be able to move under its own power, and must have been taxed or been SORN'd for the last five years. The DVLA may also need to inspect your car before approving or turning down your application"
Interesting thanks. I wonder what defines under its own power! Makes it more grey than when it was MOT only!
I think it's fairly loose, I took a plate off a car I was parting out, being an idiot the car had very little left on/in it before I thought about the plate.

No motor, no doors, no bumpers, no interior, no anything really.

It had been SORN so I applied for it to be put on retention through the dvla site and it was processed with no question.

3.5 V8 Land Rover. I thought it was a good plate but it may fall into the crappy thread. Oh and 6 RU just up the road on an XC90.
